Be Mine

Lianna woke up with the sun hitting her face. She smiles as she remembered what happened last night. It was one of the best dates that they had. It was worth it not seeing him everyday. She turned to the other side of the bed and found it empty. "Maybe he's in the shower.", she tells herself. She stood up, wrapping the blanket around her body. She knocked on the  bathroom door, "Hon?", but she didn't hear any reply or the water running. She opened the door and found it empty, too. She looked for her robe ang wore it so she can continue to look for Gary around the house. "Baka naglakad-lakad lang..", convincing herself that he didn't leave. She went outside and still found the house empty until she found a note on the table.

"Hi, Hon.
I'm sorry. My assistant called and there's an emergency at the office. I need to check on it. Thank you for last night and the great dinner. I had fun with you. Let me make it up to you. Lunch or dinner tomorrow? Take care driving back to Manila.
Gary"

Lianna sighs. It was a Saturday and she was hoping to spend more time with him today and take him around her favorite spots in Tagaytay but again, she couldn't compete once Gary is being called at work. "He's the CEO for pete's sake, Lianna", her mind answers her back. She picked up her phone and dials Gary but he is not picking up thinking that he is still driving or working already. She just decided to head back home and maybe call Bianca over to her house.

Gary just entered EDSA when Carlos started calling him. He answers in hoping to hear good news.

"Caloy, kumusta diyan?"

"Pare, sorry talaga if we had to ruin your date..", his bestfriend apologizes for the third time that morning.. "huwag ka na sa office dumiretso. Naayos ko na yun gulo doon kanina pa. Kaso nagka-problema sa shoot."

"What do you mean?", he's starting to get mad at this point, They can't lose this account.

"Nasiraan yung photographer ng sasakyan. Baka daw hindi umabot. Dala pa naman niya yung equipment."

"Shit naman. Bakit ngayon pa? Bakit kasi siya yung kinuha na photographer?"

"Maayos naman portfolio niya kasi. I know the hassle, Pare. Anyway, malapit naman na ako sa shoot. Ayusin ko na lang pagdating ko doon."

"Sige, Caloy. Magkita na lang tayo doon.", he hangs up and tries to figure out in his head on what to do with the client. He was about to call her secretary when a message came in.

"Hi, Hon! I saw your note. Ingat ka. See you tomorrow. I love you!"

He couldn't believe that he needed to leave Lianna at dawn. They had a great time and he was hoping that he can spend more time with her, too. But work has been stressful lately and add the fact that his Dad wants to expand the business, not to mention, bugging him time and time again about building a family. The only thing that makes him happy these days is Lianna. She has been very patient with him. If only he can give her the world. If only he can give himself to her wholly without complications.

Lianna decided to just go to the cafe and check how things are going. She needed the distraction anyway. She didn't get any reply from Gary that made her a bit tampo. She was checking orders from her laptop when Bianca entered.

"Lia!"

"O?! Bakit?"

"Akala ko ba nasa Tagaytay ka? Eh wala pang 24 hours nandito ka nanaman?"

"Bakit ba? Eh sa akin naman itong cafe!"

"Ay, ang sungit. Hindi ka siguro nadiligan no?"

"Gaga! Hindi yon!", making an annoyed face towards Bianca.
