"Wait... What?!"

"Sinabi niya yun sa'yo lahat?"

The voices of her friends echoed throughout the whole private room of the café. She rolled her eyes at them because they were being exaggerated, especially Bianca. They are having merienda together and at the same time, Anton asked them to babysit his pregnant wife while he attends to a meeting around the area.

Lia just told them about the conversation that she had with Mel a few days ago. She tried keeping it to herself, but she might explode if she doesn't tell her best friends about it. It has been on her mind lately making her more anxious because no one else knows about it.

"So, when are you planning to tell Caloy about this?" Ella asks her.

She sighs. "That's the thing... Gusto ni Mel na siya ang magsasabi kay Caloy..."

"At pumayag ka naman, Lianna Alexandra?" Bianca is the one who asked this time. The irritated tone on Bianca's voice hinted that she is not entirely please with everything.

"There's a side of me that understands her. Hindi rin naman kasi niya –"

"Can you stop defending her, Lily?" Lia looks at Ella. "Don't say that it's not her kasalanan because clearly she wanted it to happen. She might do something delikado and make you and Caloy pahamak with whatever..."

Bianca suddenly giggles that made Ella look. "Hay nako... conyo talaga ng kaibigan ko. Pwede naman kasi mag straight English!"

This time, it's Ella's turn to roll her eyes. "Can you stop making me pakialam, Bianca! I'm not the topic here..."

"Sungit ni buntis! Fine... dito na tayo ulit kay Lia..."

Lia just shakes her head. "It's not like I'm defending her. But I also think they didn't have the closure that they need. Baka she needed that with Caloy just like what I had with Gary noon. Caloy just left and broke up with her without letting Mel explain her side."

"Pero Lia, iba ang sitwasyon ngayon kasi hindi naman closure ang gusto ni Mel... parang iba ang balak niya. Kung gusto niya talaga ng closure, matagal na niyang sinabi kay Caloy. Hindi na siya naghintay ng limang taon lalo na at alam niyang may girlfriend na ang ex niya."

"I agree with Bianca. I think you should be careful around her and don't be too nice."

"I know that side, too. It's just that... Mel said she tried telling Caloy but things got in the way for her..."

"Ewan ko na. Hindi ako naniniwala diyan sa ex ni Caloy." Bianca says and takes a sip of her mango shake.

She sighs once again. Her friends might be right as always, but she wants to give Mel the benefit of the doubt and at the same time, she trusts Caloy wouldn't do something to break her heart as well.

"Yun lang ba ang nangyari at napag-usapan niyo?" Bianca asks her.

She was about to say yes when she remembered the bathroom incident during Gary's birthday. She looked at her friends and by the way they look at her as well, they know that she has still something to say.

"Spill it, Lily..." the only words that her best friend needed to say, and her mind decided to tell the story.

Lia told them what happened during that night and the reason why she took a few shots of tequila. She looked at them and obviously they are now pissed, especially Ella.

"Lianna... sabihin mo nga sa akin... mahal mo naman si Caloy diba?"

"What kind of a question is that? Of course, I do!"
