The week went by so fast and Lianna is now prepping for the ad shoot of the café. She, Bianca, and the whole staff are early, to start on making the dishes they want to highlight for their ad. They decided that a menu revamp was also needed to attract more customers. They rearranged some tables and chairs to make way for the equipment, made one of the private rooms as a dressing room and waiting area for the models and the other room for the products. Lianna double checked, no, scratch that, triple checked everything to make sure things will go smoothly that day.
At around eight in the morning, Caloy arrived and he asked the help of some of the waiters to get his things in the car. She saw him moving the lights and tripods around. She went back to one of the VIP rooms when Bianca called her.
"Okay na ba ito, Mars?", her friend asks to check on the flower arrangements for the day.
"Yes. Ang ganda. Ang galing mo na mag-arrange ng flowers, ha!", she compliments.
Bianca giggles, "Ganun talaga! Sayang ang classes na kinuha natin kung hindi gagamitin. Speaking of flowers.." She looked at Bianca and faced the direction that her friend is looking at. There, by the door is Caloy holding a bouquet of flowers for her. She cannot deny that the more she spends time with him, the more handsome he is getting in her eyes. Not just physically, but in everything that he is towards her.
He walked towards them, while flashing that smile that she loves. "Hi! Morning, ladies!". He gave Bianca a beso on the cheek and he approached her with a kiss on the temple that made Bianca squeal in kilig. He has been doing that gesture for a while now and this is the first time that Bianca saw it.
"Morning, Caloy.", she says as she took the flowers. "Thank you for these. Kumain ka na? Gusto mo ng coffee?"
He nodded. "But coffee sounds great."
"Let me get you a cup. Sandali –", she says but gets interrupted by her friend.
"Ay! Ako na, Mars! Baka mamiss ka nito.", she giggles as Bianca scampers away.
She looked at him and smiled. "I missed you.", he tells her. She raises a brow at him. "What?", he asks.
"Mr. Concepcion, we talk everyday. We had dinner thrice last week and we literally text each other for almost twenty-four hours."
He chuckles. "Bakit bilang na bilang mo, Miss Rodrigo? Kulang pa nga yun because you cancelled one lunch date."
She rolled her eyes, "Because I had an emergency, diba? I had to go home, and you had a meeting." She had to cancel because she finally got her period, and she was able to visit her OB as well. The doctor advised to have a series of test and suggested to rest first from taking pills so her body can adjust. She is fine with it since the pregnancy scare a week ago made her worry. Her OB reminded her to take vitamins, too, which she now doing.
"Still, I want to see you everyday.", Caloy pouted.
"Stop being my clingy manliligaw. Di bagay sayo. Ang laki mong tao tapos para kang bata diyan.", she giggles.
She is learning more about Caloy these days. She found out that he is loves to eat chocolates and not a fan of strawberries, but gladly ate the strawberry shortcake that she made. She learned that he can be thrifty when it comes to himself but would splurge on things for other people. He enjoys watching comedies, action, and horror films which is the total opposite of her and lastly, he would always text or call his brother to get updates about his mom. Of all the things she learned recently about him, her favorite is how he is such a family man.
He placed another kiss on her temple and smiled. Bianca finally came back with Caloy's coffee. "Ito na po, Sir, yung kape niyo. Tigilan niyo yung landian niyo diyan baka langgamin na kayo." They both giggle and Caloy lets her go to take the coffee.
