Lianna Rodrigo has always dreamed of having the perfect life. She has always wanted the perfect relationship by being with the man of his dreams and have her own family, but what if life throws you a curve ball? What if the man of your dreams can't...
Gary arrived at the family mansion in Alabang. The house where he and his sisters grew up in. He has no plans on going inside but the guard opened the gate, maybe anticipating his arrival, that led him parking it in the driveway. He went inside and the maids greeted him good evening. One of them is Manang Elvie, his childhood nanny, that took care of him ever since he was young, that greeted him with a warm hug. She helped raise and care for him especially when his Mom passed away.
"Hi, Manang!", he hugs her back.
"Buti nakarating ka agad, Gerardo." His yaya says, "Kumain ka na ba?"
He smiled for a bit with the name she called him. He is after all his Father's son. "Tapos na Manang.. Dumating daw si Dad?"
Manang nodded, "Hindi ko rin inaasahan."
He is not sure why his Dad is home. He left about two months ago to check on his Ate Grace, who gave birth in the States and check their properties there. He was about to check his Dad's home office when he hears his voice.
"Im here, Gary." he turned and saw his Dad coming down from the stairs.
"Dad.."
The mighty Gerardo Jimenez Sr., one of the richest businessmen in the country. He doesn't own just the advertising agency that Gary is managing but he has real estates around the world, mostly in the US. He looks really good for his age. He is almost seventy years old but looks like younger for his age.
His Dad approached him and led him to the living room, "Kailan pa kayo dumating?"
"Kanina lang. And Gary..", he took a seat and looked at him, "Ako nga dapat ang magulat at wala ka dito sa bahay. Sabi ni Elvie hindi ka dito umuuwi."
Gary tried not to sigh in front of his father. "Dad naman, i dont want to stay here alone. Besides, the condo is nearer sa office, ayoko mag drive ng malayo after a long day."
"Very well then, since I'm back. I want you to live here again."
"Dad naman..", he protests.
"No buts, besides.. hindi lang naman ako ang uuwian mo dito sa bahay..", his father declares.
"What do you mean?", asks Gary, who is starting to get concerned with what his Dad told him.
The older Jimenez gave him a provoking smile. The look that he doesn't like ever since he was a kid. Just as he was about to ask again, he hears a voice that he didn't expect at all.
"Hi, Baby! I'm home!"
Gary froze on where he is standing when he heard the familiar voice. He heard the footsteps coming towards him and when he decided to turn, he couldn't believe it with his very own eyes.
"Clara.."
Clara Sandoval, one of the top wedding planners in the country. She coordinated the weddings of famous celebrities and has been featured in different wedding magazines all over the world. She is as they say, in demand for her job.
Clara quickly gave Gary a hug and a kiss on the lips that made him realize that everything is real in front of him. First, his Dad and now Clara is back home, too. "Does this day get any better?", his mind asks him.
"I missed you, Baby!", as Clara gives him another peck on the lips.
"Anong ginagawa mo dito?", was the first thing that came out of his lips.
"What kind of a question is that, Gary?", his Father asks him back. "She lives here for crying out loud."
"Hindi mo ba ako na-miss, Gary?", she pouts at him.
"I'm sorry..", trying to make up for his rude question and shows her a smile, "Welcome home, Clara."
Clara's pout turned into a smile, "I'm so happy to be back, Baby!", as she hugs him again and Gary tries to hug her back, too.
"So now that you are both settled..", Gerardo starts, "I expect that the two of you can live here together?"
"Of course, Dad! Mabuti na rin na may kasama ka dito sa bahay!", Clara replies.
"Good.. good.."
"Umm, Clara..", he tries to ask again.
"Yes, Baby?"
Gary's head is filled with questions. He doesn't even know where to start. He doesn't know if he should ask. All he knows is things will be more complicated now that Clara is back.
"Maybe we should rest na..", was all he could say. "I know you guys had a long flight.."
Clara smiles, "Awwww. You're so sweet, Baby. Yes. Napagod talaga kami ni Dad."
Gary looked at his Dad smiling at them, "Sige na. Umakyat na kayo. Let's talk and catch up tomorrow morning at breakfast."
"Yes, Dad! Marami rin akong gusto i-kwento kay Gary. Good night, Dad!", as Clara approached Gerardo for a buzz on the cheek.
"Good night, Clara.. and don't forget our deal.."
Clara giggles at him, "Dad naman!"
Gary heard that and had to ask, "what deal? You made a deal?"
"Let's not pressure, Gary, Dad!"
Gary looked at his Dad to ask for some confirmation about what the two are talking about.
"What is this about, Dad?", trying not to sound frustrated.
"I'm not getting any younger, Gary. I want a grandchild.", Gerardo bluntly says.
Gary tried to hide his sigh from what his father said, "Dad..", the thought of having his own kid hasn't even entered his mind yet.
"What, Gary? There's nothing wrong with what I said."
He gave his Dad a pleading look but of course, it wouldn't work as expected.
"Besides, Clara is your wife, Gary. You are married to her. I have every right to ask for what I want."
