A crumpled paper thrown at his forehead was enough for Caloy to give his attention to his friends instead of the text message that he has been staring at. He is pissed because Lia is still not minding him. It's been two days since their fight, and she's been cold towards him. She would reply or answer his calls, but he knows that she is just doing that so that he will stop bothering her. Aside from that, she is now with that architect that is making his blood boil because of jealousy.
"Huy! Ano ba, Caloy? Para kang tanga diyan. Kanina pa kita tinatawag eh!" Anton hissed at him.
They are currently in Gary's office. He was called in and he thought there was an emergency meeting only to find out that Anton is there to visit the two, more of avoiding his pregnant wife.
He sighs. "Sorry, ano ba kasi yun?"
"Ang sabi ko, labas tayo tonight. Tutal ayaw naman sa akin ng asawa ko ngayon." Anton says that made Gary and Caloy chuckle. "Isa ka pa, Gerardo... malapit na rin ako mainis sa'yo!"
Gary tries to suppress his laugh. "Anton, hindi ko naman kasalanan kung bakit ganyan maglihi yang si Ella. Inggit ka lang dahil si Clara sobrang clingy sa akin."
"Ewan ko sa inyo. Basta inom tayo mamaya." Anton declares at them.
"Wala akong gana." Caloy says that made the two look at him curiously.
"Bakit walang gana? Atsaka tradition na natin 'to diba? Salubong ng birthday?"
It's his birthday tomorrow. It's been a tradition among them to celebrate their birthdays together. They would usually hang out somewhere, eating and drinking together. Reminiscing the happy and bad times until the clock strikes twelve and greet the celebrant with a bottle of alcohol. However, he doesn't feel like celebrating especially now that Lia is mad at him.
"Aren't we too old for that?" he says. He is thinking of an excuse to ditch the tradition.
"Baka ikaw... Kami ni Gary, hindi!"
Caloy picks the pencil in front of him and threw it towards Anton. "Gago ka talaga!" Gary and Anton just laughed at him.
"Ano ba kasing problema mo?" Anton asks.
"Oo nga. Sabi ni Kim kahapon ka pa daw bad trip."
He looked at his friends. He won't be able to hide anything anyway, so he just decided to tell them what happened. After telling them his situation, there was silence for a couple of minutes. He looked at both, waiting for them to say something. He hopes that whatever that comes out of their mouths has sense or could at least help him with his problem.
"Bakit mo kasi sinalo?" Anton asks first.
Caloy was about to throw him the pen holder when Gary got it from him immediately. "Tigilan niyo na nga. Magkakasakitan pa eh."
"Tarantado talaga 'tong si Anton eh." Caloy says. He is getting pissed with Anton's antics.
Anton chuckles. "Joke lang kasi yun, Pare. Ang serious mo kasi. Alam ko naman na gentleman ka and out of reflex kaya mo yun nagawa."
