Lia has been staring at the ceiling for only God knows how long. She feels tired and exhausted from all the thinking that she has been doing. She never had a good rest or sleep since she got home at the hacienda, but she felt like that going home to her father is the best decision. There was never a night that she didn't think about what happened that day.

Lia just got off the elevator, holding two paper bags with cupcakes in it. She is walking down the hallway, greeting the people that she knows. She was about to turn towards Caloy's office when she bumped into Kim.

"Miss Lia!" Kim blurts out, surprised to see her there.

She smiles. "Hi, Kim! Kumusta? Pinapunta ako ng boss mo. Sumali daw ako sa celebration niyo."

Kim giggles. "Of course, Miss Lia! Hindi rin naman maaabot ni Sir ang promotion kung di dahil sa inyo."

"Ako? Bakit ako?"

Kim nodded. "Siyempre, ikaw po ang inspirasyon ni Sir."

Lia giggles. "Ikaw talaga! By the way, may dala akong cupcakes. Saan ko ito ilalagay?"

"Wow! Thank you po! Ako na lang po magdadala sa staff room." Kim says and takes the paper bags from her.

"Nasaan si Caloy? Nasa meeting ba siya?" She asks. She forgot to send him a message that she is on her way. He might be in a meeting and she does not want to disturb him.

Kim shakes her head. "Nasa office lang po niya, Ma'am. Nagliligpit po ng mga gamit niya. Gusto niyo po samahan ko kayo?"

Lia smiles. "Hindi na. Ako na lang. Mukhang busy ka eh."

Kim giggles. "Hindi naman po, Ma'am. Inaayos ko lang din po yung bagong opisina ni Sir."

Lia nodded. "O sige... para hindi na ako maka-istorbo sa trabaho mo, puntahan ko na lang si Caloy."

"Okay po, Ma'am! Tawagin ko na lang po kayo ni Sir kapag kakain na."

Lia smiles. "Sige. Thank you, Kim!"

She walked again thru the hallway and reached Caloy's office. She was about to push the glass door open when she heard a raised voice.

"Caloy... Mahal na mahal kita at hindi ko kaya na hiwalayan ko noon. Hindi ko kaya na mawala ka sa akin pero kailangan ako ng pamilya ko. At mas gugustuhin ko na ikaw na lang ang lumayo at magalit para alam kong ligtas ka. Kaya naisip ko yung plano ko. I asked JC's help para mapaniwala ka na may nangyari sa amin kahit wala. He said those hurtful words to you para mas lalo kang magalit sa akin. Mas gusto ko na ikaw ang makipaghiwalay kasi alam ko na hindi ko kaya..."

She knows that voice and clearly Caloy and Mel are talking about the past. She wanted to step away, but her feet are planted on where she is standing. She heard Mel telling Caloy what happened to her.

Hindi mo na dapat pakinggan 'to, Lia. Narinig mo na yan mula kay Mel. Umalis ka na lang.

Her mind kept telling her to leave but she couldn't, and she doesn't know why. She kept listening until she found out about something she didn't expect.

"I... I lost... I lost our baby, Caloy. I w-wasn't able to protect our baby..."

Suddenly, her heart is beating faster than she anticipated. She didn't know that he got Mel pregnant... and they lost the baby. Mel didn't tell her that and looks like Caloy didn't know it as well.

She peeked by opening the door slightly, only to have her heart break with the sight that she is seeing.

Caloy and Mel, crying, hugging, and comforting each other with their loss and by that alone, she felt insecure. A tear fell from her eye. She feels hurt knowing that Caloy might choose Mel. She knows that Caloy has that option now. He can have Mel back, especially now that he knows the truth.
