Days turned into weeks. The free days turned into busy ones. The sweet moments can easily be replaced by arguments and it's been hard to talk about it especially that Lia and Caloy has been preoccupied with work.
Caloy has been going in and out of the Visayas and Mindanao region for client meet-ups and shoots. His colleague that is assigned to do those things is on paternity leave and it would have been easy if Gary is around, but the latter is currently in the States, trying to work things out with his wife. The older Jimenez took over while his son is gone and things in the office is a bit more tensed than the usual. This leads to Caloy in doing overtimes and weekend work which annoys Lia as she haven't seen his boyfriend for days and if they do, work would always interrupt them or him falling asleep before they can even catch up with each other's happenings.
Lianna, on the other hand, has been taking care of the café most of the time. Their marketing ads worked, thanks to Caloy and the endorsement of Ella. More customers are coming in. Deliveries are doubled and they have been getting more inquiries as suppliers for special events. This makes Lia and Bianca happy as they can finally start planning their second branch. But as happy as she can be, she misses Caloy the most. It's been almost a month as a couple, but they feel like they are in a long-distance relationship because of not being together. There are times when she wants him to resign and just pursue his photography, but that's too selfish of her. She knows he needs the money for his family and the corporate job helps. She just wishes that his colleague and Gary can come back soon so his schedule will go back to normal.
Lia smiles as she reads his text. She has been looking forward to their dinner for days, well, who is she kidding, of course not just having dinner but being intimate in bed with him.
It's almost six in the evening and Caloy informed her that he already landed in Manila two hours ago, but he needs to do some work in the office. She knows his situation about the Dad of Gary around and as much as she wants to protest, she also knows how meticulous Greg Jimenez is. She is just praying that Gary comes back soon so Caloy can get some rest, too.
By seven, Lia is already dressed, had her light make-up on, and the table is set for dinner, leaving the food in the oven to keep it warm. She checked her phone but there are no messages from Caloy. "Baka na-traffic lang..", she mumbles. He might be driving that's why he's not texting. She just stayed in the couch and decided to wait by watching TV. She just hopes that he comes soon as she is already hungry.
Lia sighs for the umpteenth time that night. It's already past nine in the evening. She consumed her share of the pasta and chicken that she cooked. The wine bottle is now half empty, and she plans on drinking the whole bottle because of what she is currently feeling – frustrated and annoyed. She left messages and tried to call Caloy, but no reply at all and this makes her angry and exasperated. He was the one who wanted to have dinner. He was the one who requested for her to cook his favorite meals and now she feels like she wants to drown herself in alcohol because of waiting for him for hours, and not just hours, it's been days that she's been wanting to see him and now he didn't show up. All her hopes are up and now they are all crumbling down.
