Days passed and Caloy was finally discharged from the hospital. He stayed with Lia until his follow-up check-up after the accident. He's head bandage is finally gone, and the doctor said that he is recovering well while his arm cast will still be present for the next couple of weeks. When he is finally able to adjust and move around on his own, he moved back to his own unit – with daily visits from Lia, of course, making sure he is doing well without her around.
Since he is still on leave from work, he joins Lia at the café on some days and tries to do some virtual work from there, getting updates from his team, trying to help as much as he can. Lia tried to refrain him from doing anything but of course he couldn't help himself as he loves his work so much. He missed being around his team, but he also enjoys being with Lia most of the time.
A few days before he can officially go back to work, Lia planned a trip to the hacienda, something that they have been putting off for so long. Their friends found out about the plan, so they decided to make it a weekend trip with the whole barkada. They all needed a break and some fresh air, especially Ella, who's baby bump is now showing itself to the whole world. Lia's father is the one who is excited the most to have some company over.
They all arrived at the hacienda one fine Friday morning, three cars convoyed one after the other. Leandro welcomed all of them at the driveway, together with the maids that are ready to get their bags to bring them to their respective rooms.
"Alexandra..." Leandro welcomes Lia as she gets out of the driver's side. She gave his father a hug and a kiss on the cheek. Caloy went near him, too, and gave a handshake with his free hand.
Leandro welcomed their friends, too, with hugs and handshakes. He is already familiar with the ladies and he is happy to know the men with them. The maids brought their bags in their respective rooms. Oliver and Caloy will share a room while Bianca will stay with Lia in her own room. This decision gained a laugh and teasing from Anton who is lucky to be married and sharing a room with his wife.
"How's your arm, Carlos?" Leandro asks while pointing at his cast. They are all in the living room, the maid serving them cold drinks to beat the summer heat.
"Getting better, Tito. Hopefully, the doctor can take it out soon." He says.
Leandro nodded. "Paano ba yan, you can't do any golfing with me this weekend? I was looking forward pa naman na makabawi ako sa'yo."
Caloy chuckles. "I can still go with you, Tito. But maybe, Anton and Oliver can play with you. Magagaling din sila." He says and looked at his friends.
"Sure! It's about time I play with the young ones. Maybe we can do it on Sunday morning?" Leandro asks and the boys agreed. "O sige na, magpahinga muna kayo and Manang will call you for lunch. I will just do something in my office. Ikaw muna ang bahala sa kanila, Alexandra."
Lia nodded and their friends said their thanks. She looked at Bianca and Caloy who is both looking gloomy about the room assignments. Anton still couldn't stop teasing about them. Lia finds it funny but shrugged it off and didn't let their pag-iinarte get in the way. She'll just do something about the rooms and talk to her Dad about it.
