The days rolled by quickly that the new year has approached everyone with ease. Lianna got busy with the café and celebrating the holidays with her father in Batangas. She and Caloy are getting by with phone calls, texts, and video calls whenever they are free, well, mostly it's Caloy adjusting to Lia's schedule. He was planning to leave La Union before New Year's, but his Mom became unwell and Lia insisted for him to stay to monitor Mama Cora's condition. They just decided to see each other when he comes back to Manila.
It's New Year's Day and the annual girl's dinner with Bianca and Ella is happening. They have been doing that dinner for ten years and this time, it is Ella's turn to host. Her best friend insisted to hold it in her new house with Anton, assuring them that it will still be the three of them during dinner and Anton will stay in his study to work on Ella's upcoming concert.
Lianna just finished packing a box of goodies for their dessert and double checked on her Christmas gifts for her friends that she forgot to give days before as they got busy with Ella's wedding, and well, she had to look for Caloy. Her phone started to ring, and she knows that it's Bianca, who insisted on just picking her up than letting her drive, which she agreed to since she feels lazy to so. She got all the things she needed and went down to the lobby. However, she got surprised to see that Bianca is not alone, there in the driver's seat is Oliver, Bianca's new boyfriend. Bianca got down and approached to help her with her things.
"Happy New Year, Mars!", Bianca greets her with excitement and with a buzz on the cheek.
"Happy New Year, Biancs.. Can you explain why?", using her lips to point to Oliver, who is busy with his phone inside the car.
Bianca sighs while getting things out of her hand. "Nagpumilit kasi eh. Ihahatid daw niya ako atsaka may pag-uusapan daw sila ni Anton for Ella's concert. Eh hindi ko na mahindian."
She rolled her eyes, "It's supposed to be just the three of us..", she says.
"I know.. Sorry na. Sabi ko sa kanya wag na lang sumali sa dinner. Bahala na lang sila ni Anton. Pumayag naman siya."
She sighs. "Fine. Tara na at kanina pa rin naghahanap si Ella. Kailangan ng tulong sa kusina.", Bianca giggles. Among the three of them, Ella is the last person to expect in the kitchen.
She took the backseat and Oliver greeted her and she did, too. Honestly, she really doesn't have any issue if Oliver is there, but she realized that she misses Caloy already. So the fact that her friends' special someone's are around, makes her jealous, and even though she told Caloy to stay in La Union, deep inside, she wants to celebrate the first day of the New Year with her boyfriend.
She checked her phone when it vibrated, and it puts a smile to her face when the guy she misses would always check up on her.

After twenty minutes, they arrived at Ella's. They got down and both Bianca and Lia are stunned to see how beautiful the house is. They realized that the pictures sent to them didn't do justice.
