Chapter Twenty One: Whiskey Talking
"Ang ganda!" Jilliana exclaimed. Maybe 15-minute drive from our house. It's a fort. May hotel, casino, and a long way through the beach with lamp posts in its side and a meadow.
"Ikaw lang naman ang pangit e." Henry commented. Natawa kami.
Or not... I had a hint pero napaka-imposible 'yon.
"Ang sama ng ugali mo. Nakakasuka—"
"Look, Nimbus! It's like we're in abroad." Henry commented while looking at the view outside not minding Jilliana's words. And Jilliana just gave him a glare earning a chuckle from Henry.
Nimbus groaned. "What are you, three? Para kang bata."
"Shunga."
"How about Mom and Dad, Clarence? Hindi mo sila susunduin?" Tanong ko mula sa likod. He's now parking the car.
"Nauna na sila dito."
"Okay."
"Chance, gising..." I said.
"Dito na tayo?"
"Yup!" Sagot ni Clarence sa tanong ni Nimbus. The car engine stop.
"Tara! Labas na tayo! Nawiwiwi na ako e." A loud, uninhibited laughter escape from Henry's lips.
"Henry! Ang laswa mo talaga!" Si Jilliana.
Seconded by laughters. "Oh? Anong masama sa wiwi?"
"Yuck!"
"OA nito." He laugh, shooking his head.
Pero hindi pa nagigising itong katabi ko. He just mumbled at umayos pa siya ng puwesto.
"Chance, gising na. Nandito na tayo."
Niyugyog ko ang balikat niya. I saw Clarence on the side of the SUV where Henry and Nimbus find their way out earlier.
He asked.
Umiling ako at itinuro ang katabi ko. "Gisingin ko pa."
He tsked. "Pabebe naman niyan. Sige, gisingin mo na 'yan. Mauna na ako don. I'll wait you there and explain everything to me." He said in very strict voice before turning.
I rolled my eyes. He's very over-protective. Mas malala pa siya kay Daddy. He acts like an older brother to me as well. Like I said, he's just one day ahead. December 5 ako while December 3 sa kaniya.
