It's 2:47 in the morning when Meagan wakes up in a cold sweat from a nightmare. She takes a moment to catch her breath and looks around her room to ground herself. Nightmares aren't uncommon for Meagan, they happen often but each one is more scary than the next. Every time she has one, they are like flashbacks from the abuse she suffered from but in a more distorted form.
She gets up from her bed and walks over to Amethyst's room, hesitating before knocking on the door, little things like this make her anxious and feel like a burden. She gently knocks, hoping it was loud enough for Amethyst to notice, as she probably wouldn't be able to find the courage to knock again. It wasn't long before Amethyst opens the door, "Is everything alright love?" She asks while rubbing her eyes. Meagan heart flutters at the little nickname Amethyst has given her just now. "Yeah, it was just a bad dream." Meagan tells her even though she's feeling quite embarrassed. "Did you want to talk about it?" Amethyst asks her. Meagan shakes her head, "No, but I think the baby misses you too." Meagan tells her, making Amethyst smile. "You can come in if you'd like. Would you like to sleep on my bed? I can sleep in the chair if you don't want me next to you. I promise it doesn't bother me either way." Amethyst asks. It's not like sleeping in the same bed bothers her but, she doesn't want to make Meagan feel uncomfortable or unsafe in any way. "Thank you for asking, I appreciate it more than you probably know. I really don't want to be alone though so you can lay with me if you'd like." Meagan tells her.  So, Meagan climbs into bed with Amethyst for the first time since around the 8th grade and lets her wrap her arms around her without even thinking twice. "Have you thought of a name yet?" Amethyst asks, her hands placed on Meagan's stomach. "No, not yet." Meagan says. Amethyst nods and then rests her head on Meagan's shoulder while Meagan's arms are still around Amethyst's waist. Slowly they both drift off into a deep, more peaceful sleep than before, they just needed each other. In the morning, Amethyst is awakened by the sound of Meagan throwing up in the bathroom. She gets up and knocks on the bathroom door, "Do you need anything?" She asks her, Meagan tries to say something but instead throws up again in response. So, Amethyst goes to make them both breakfast. She gets some toast, yogurt, and ice chips and brings them back into the bedroom. A few minutes pass and Meagan walks out of the bathroom that's connected to the bedroom. "Morning beautiful," Amethyst says. Meagan rolls her eyes, "Morning? Yes. Beautiful? No. Hotel? Trivago". She tells her sarcastically and then laughs at her own little joke. "You are such a dork but a beautiful one." Amethyst says back with a hint of laughter in her voice as well. "You are." Meagan says shyly as she walks over to the bed and sits down. "I made you breakfast!" Amethyst says, giving the girl a cheeky smile. "Thank you, I really appreciate that." Meagan says and takes a bite of yogurt. "Why did you get ice chips though? Did you forget the water?" She asks while laughing.  "No, I did not forget the water, I heard water can make morning sickness worse but ice chips don't." Amethyst says. Meagan eats a bit of the ice and the toast as well. "How do you know that?" She asks, laughing once again. Amethyst looks at Meagan with a look of pride as she says, "I googled it." She tells her making Meagan laugh. "You sound like a middle-aged woman, so proud of yourself. " Meagan says. "Hey! I just needed to know how to help out my girl and her baby!" Amethyst says, pretending to sound offended but the laughter in her voice gives her away. "Thank you again, you really don't have to do this for me." Meagan tells her as she continues eating her breakfast. "You're welcome, but there is really no need to thank me." Amethyst says, tossing a grape into the air and catching it in her mouth. "Nice one." Meagan says as she claps dramatically. "Thank you, thank you. It's one of the many talents my hands and mouth can do." Amethyst says before realizing what she just said. Both girls look at each other, both their faces blushing, "I didn't mean to say that." Amethyst says with a nervous giggle. Meagan laughs as well, "I'll be the judge of that." She tells her then regrets it. "I don't know why I said that." Meagan says. Amethyst tosses another one but misses at hitting her forehead, "Fuck!" She shouts. "Pride goeth before a fall." Meagan laughs and Amethyst just looks at her, being very confused. "Sorry, I forgot you didn't know the Bible." Meagan then says still laughing. "Yeah no, I don't know much about it." Amethyst says with a hint of laughter in her voice. They both finish their breakfast and Meagan begins cleaning up, "It's okay, I got it." Amethyst tells her and starts taking the dirty dishes from her hand. "Oh okay, I feel so bad though!" Meagan says, backing away and letting Amethyst do her thing. She isn't used to people doing things for her, she feels bad for liking it but it's a nice change from what she is used to. "Well, I'd feel bad if I didn't plus, this is my house. My house my rules baby!" Amethyst says with added dramatic sass. "Fair enough." Meagan tells her. She walks to the kitchen with Amethyst and admires her while she watches her do the dishes. Her eyes wander up and down Amethyst's body, they stop at her ass and stares for a little too long. "Stop it! This is so wrong." She thinks to herself. Amethyst can feel her staring and it's making her feel all hot and bothered in the best way possible.
