Chapter 30: Story Time

"So whose ready for story time?" Arjun asked smirking, "Let's start with the question that has been on everyone's mind since day one, why did Rohan leave Shanaya in the first place?".

Arjun walked up to Shanaya, "By everyone I really mean you Shanaya, because everyone in this room knows why Rohan left, hell even Rohan knows why he left", Arjun ran the knife down Shanaya's face, "Tell me Shanaya, do you remember Dean calling Rohan to his office after he had won the competition?".

When Shanaya didn't reply, Arjun pressed the knife on Shanaya's cheek, making her hiss in pain, "I asked, do you remember Shanaya?".

"Yes" Shanaya breathed out.

"Well turns out when Rohan went to Dean, he didn't find him instead he found someone completely different" Arjun turned to Rohan, "Go on Rohan, tell your lady love who you found".

Rohan didn't say anything, just glared at Arjun with immense hatred.

"Speak up Rohan, otherwise your precious little Shanaya would get hurt, more than she already is".

"Ashok Nanda" Rohan replied, not wanting Shanaya to get hurt, she was already losing too much blood, "When I went to Dean's office I found Ashok Nanda".

"And what did Ashok Nanda tell you about your precious Shanaya here?" Arjun asked smirking.

Rohan looked at Shanaya who was looking right back at him, wanting to know what happened that day, wanting to finally find the answers to her many questions, "He had an professional killer tailing you Shanaya, he was going to kill you, he said that I, I.."

Shanaya frowned seeing Rohan stop mid sentence, from his facial expressions Shanaya could tell Rohan was remembering the day, he was remembering the day that changed Rohan and Shanaya's love story in to a hate story.

"That either you leave Shanaya or she dies" Arjun finished.

Rohan's words started spinning around in Shanaya's head, I left to protect you Shanaya, now Shanaya knew what Rohan meant by this.

"Dad was hoping without Shanaya you would be clueless and heartbroken and your stupid dream to become a rockstar would disappear, but that didn't happen, instead for some stupid reason you got even more determined to fulfil your dream" Arjun said, "Oh and just for your information Shanaya, despite being away from you for two months Rohan never gave up on you, did you little bro?".

"What?" Shanaya asked confused, looking at Rohan who was avoiding eye contact with Shanaya and was just glaring at Arjun.

"Well Shanaya, while Rohan was busy establishing his rockstar career, he made sure you were safe, he wanted so badly to return to you but he couldn't as long as Dad's assassin was keeping an eye on you, so Mr Junior Nanda here, hired a private investigator to find the assassin and get him arrested and away from you, and even though it took him two months, your lover boy did manage to get the guy arrested" Arjun turned to Rohan, "Which by the way, did take all of us for a surprise, we weren't expecting you to be so determined to return back to your lover, but don't you worry we had a back up plan, didn't we Abhimanyu?".

"We did" Abhi replied.

"And what was that?" Shanaya asked, glaring at Arjun.

"Glad you asked Shanaya" Arjun said, way to cheerful considering the situation, "You see after getting the guy arrested, Rohan very eagerly returned back to St Teresa to reunite with you, but to his surprise you or any of your friends won't there, would you do the honours of telling Rohan where you and your friends disappeared to?".

"After you left, I couldn't stay in that dorm it had too many memories of us, and it was becoming hard for me to function with all those memories, so me, Rhea, Rajat and Jeet, rented out a small apartment to stay in till we graduated" Shanaya explained.
