Chapter 10: Your Worst Nightmare

Reaching Ronaya Orphanage, Shanaya breathed a sigh of relief, she finally made it, she looked down at her switched off phone and sighed, she had turned her phone off as soon as she received Rohan's first call, she really didn't want to face Rohan, she knew it wouldn't take long for Rohan to figure out where she went, and it wouldn't take him long to get here either, which is why Shanaya knew she couldn't waste even one second, because as soon as Rohan arrives here all hell will break loose. 

Shanaya entered the orphanage to see her three best friends sitting on the coach, from the looks of it Shanaya could tell they were in the middle of a important discussion, "Guys".

Rhea, Rajat, and Jeet turned their heads and were immediately met Shanaya's worried yet scared eyes, "Where is she?".

"She's in her room" Rhea replied. 

Shanaya nodded and without saying anything else, went straight to Freya's room. 

Jeet looked at his other two friends in worry, "You think she's mad at us?".

Rhea sighed, "Of course she's mad, you both know her and Freya have a very special bond, and us not telling her about Freya's condition is obviously going to make her mad".

Rajat looked at Jeet and Rhea in worry, "Am I the only one who saw Shanaya's hands covered in bandages?".

Rhea looked at Rajat wide eyed, she had hoped Rajat and Jeet didn't notice Shanaya's hands, now she can only pray Shanaya either has a very good excuse prepared or she is ready to tell Rajat and Jeet the truth.

Jeet looked at Rajat in shock, "Bandages? Are you sure you saw her hands covered in bandages?".

"I know what I saw Jeet".

"You don't think Rohan would--"

Before Jeet could finish his sentence, Rhea interrupted him, "Stop taking shit Jeet, don't make any assumptions without asking Shanaya, specially not about your best friend".

Rhea honestly felt horrible for not only lying to Jeet but also for defending Rohan, who god knows didn't deserve it one bit, but she promised Shanaya she wouldn't let the boys suspect anything, and she couldn't break her promise to her, no matter how guilty she felt. 

Rhea left the living room and went towards Freya's room, leaving Rajat and Jeet alone.

"She's hiding something from us" Jeet observed. 

Rajat rolled his eyes at Jeet's comment, "You don't say Jeet".

Rhea and Shanaya both walked out of Freya's room, "Rhea I have given Freya all her medications but after four hours you need to give her the medicines again".

"But Shanaya she only eats medicines from your hand".

"Trust me I know, which is why I talked to Freya, and don't worry at night she will let you feed her the medicines, but only you".

"How did you manage to do that?".

"I promised her that no matter where I go or where I am, Freya just needs to call me once and I'll coming running to her".

Rhea stopped walking and faced Shanaya, "Would he let?".

Shanaya sighed knowing Rhea was talking about Rohan, "I don't know Rhea".

Rhea looked at Shanaya in worry, "Shanaya you sneaked out from the penthouse, what's going to happen when Rohan finds out your missing?".
