Chapter 32: Wake Up

Rohan entered Shanaya's room, he froze when his eyes landed on her unconscious figure, she looked pale and sick, she had so many wires hooked around her, Rohan had to stop himself from breaking down right then and there, he slowly went towards Shanaya and sat near her bed and grabbed her hand in his.

"Hey" Rohan whispered to an unconscious Shanaya, "So you're operation was successful, the doctor said your going to be okay, all you need to do now is wake up Shanaya, please wake up, I have so many things I need to say to you, I need to let you know how sorry I am for everything I did, I don't deserve you Shanaya, I know that, but I still need you to know how much I love you, how much I need you, I'll do anything you want me to do", Rohan paused and took a deep breath, "I'll even leave you if you want, just wake up, just wake up once, please Shanaya, wake up".

Rohan held onto Shanaya's hand and started sobbing, he was scared out of his mind of what was going to happen when Shanaya woke up, he was scared he was going to lose the girl who loved him despite everything his done, and all this was happening just because he didn't believe in his love, because he was too insecure, he let his insecurities get the best of him, and now Rohan was going to lose Shanaya because of that.

As Rohan was busy crying by Shanaya's side, he missed the small movement in Shanaya's hand.

"Rohan" Shanaya mumbled, in her unconscious state.

Rohan looked at Shanaya in shock when he heard his name, it amazed him that even in her unconscious state the only thing on Shanaya's mind was him, how did he ever doubt her.

"Shanaya" Rohan whispered, "It's okay Shanaya, I'm right here, your bad boy is right here".

Next Morning,

When Shanaya opened her eyes, she was met with a bright light, which caused her to groan and immediately close her eyes again, she slowly opened her eyes again and let them adjust to the light, Shanaya slowly looked around and realised she was in the hospital.

Suddenly everything that had happened came rushing back to her, Arjun kidnapping her and Tanya, Rohan coming to her save only to get captured by Arjun himself, Abhi and Arjun revealing the truth, and last but not the least, Arjun charging at Rohan with the knife only for Shanaya to push Rohan out of the way, resulting in Arjun stabbing her instead.

"Rohan" Shanaya whispered, trying to sit up but someone immediately stopped her.

"Whoa, hold up warrior princesses, you just woke up, you need to relax".

"Charlie?" Shanaya asked confused.

Charlie gave Shanaya a smile. "At your service ma'am".

"What are you doing here?" Shanaya asked.

When Shanaya spoke it felt like she had swallowed needles, her throat was so dry, which caused her to go into a coughing fit.

"Whoa, okay" Charlie said, grabbing a glass of water, "Here drink up".

With the help of Charlie, Shanaya slowly drank the glass water.

"Thanks" Shanaya said, her throat feeling much better.

"No problem" Charlie said, putting the glass on the table, "You know, you gave all of us a huge fright with this stunt of yours".

"I'm sorry" Shanaya apologised, her eyes glued to the door waiting for the arrival of the person she wanted to see the most.

Charlie saw Shanaya's gaze and sighed, "He was here all night, you know".

"Huh?" Shanaya asked confused.

"Your Rockstar" Charlie clarified, "Ever since you've been admitted to the hospital he hadn't left your side, me and Dimple had to force him to go the hotel and freshen up, honestly he looked like a hot mess and we didn't want you guys to meet while he looked like a junkie, but trust me when I say this, it wasn't easy sending him away, I swear he was about to throw a tantrum in the middle of the hospital, which was Dimple went with him to make he actually goes and doesn't just sit in the parking lot".

Shanaya didn't say anything, just nodded, to be honest she was a bit relieved that Rohan wasn't here right now, there was so much Shanaya had to say to him but she had no idea how, now Shanaya could get her thoughts together before Rohan came.

"I'm going to go outside and call Dimple and let her know your awake" Charlie said.

Once again Shanaya didn't say anything just nodded.

Charlie proceeded to leave the room, but stopped and faced Shanaya, "Shanaya".

"Yeah?".

"I don't know what happened between you both, I don't know what Rohan did, but I do know one thing, that man loves you a lot, his guilt is eating him alive Shanaya, you know me and Dimple were so scared, because we knew if anything happened to you then we wouldn't just lose you, we would also have lost Rohan, I'm not saying to forgive the guy, because I don't have any right to say that as I don't know what happened between you both, all I'm saying is that everybody deserves a second chance".

Charlie left the room without hearing Shanaya's reply. After Charlie left, Shanaya was left with her thoughts, she knew Charlie was right, everybody deserves a second chance, but the question was, does Shanaya have it in her to give her and Rohan's love a second chance?

After leaving Shanaya's room, Charlie pulled out her phone and dialled Dimple's number.

"Yeah Charlie, everything okay?" Dimple answered.

"Where are you and Ro?" Charlie said, getting straight to the point.

"We are at the cafe, Rohan hadn't eaten since the incident so I'm making sure he gets stuffed".

"You and Ro need to come back to the hospital".

"Why?" Dimple asked worried, "Is Shanaya okay?".

"Dimple, Shanaya's awake".
