VIAH's POV
"Fck that business convention." I grumbled while walking out of the airport's exit.
My phone rang as I grab a taxi way back in my condo.
"Yeah Uncle Zac?" walang gana kong sagot.
"Ang paborito kong pamangkin! Hahahahaha"
Bahagya kong inilayo ang phone sa tenga ko.
"I'm really thankful Viah. I owe you big time! Hahahaha. So how's the convention? At bakit nga pala tumagal ka pa ng two days dun?" Uncle Zac asked.
Oh by the way. He asked me a favor last time.
A business convention held in Mexico that was supposed to be attended by my oh-so-great cousin, Uncle Zac's only son. I showed up instead as his representative.
"Admit it Uncle, you already know I can't say no... But I admit, the convention was quite... interesting. So it's okay. And I talked to some business moguls there, that's why I stayed for a bit. Thank me for telling them good words about you. I actually found some interested investors and coordinators for your company." I said with a little bragging there.
"Wahhh. As expected with Viah Isela. Walang duda. Isa ka ngang Trianes. Hahahahaha"
Enough with the laugh Uncle, please.
Tsk.
"How's Zico by the way, Uncle? Baka masyado mo naman kasing pini-pressure? Bata pa naman kasi yun eh." I said.
"I'm two years younger than him when I started my interest in business, Viah. Kung bakit ba kasi mukhang nagmana pa sa Mama niya na wala man lang interes sa negos---"
"Zacarius. Wanna die today?" I heard her wife cut him off with a warning and deadly tone.
Napangisi ako.
"S-Sweety naman eh. Nagbibiro lang. H-hehehehe." Uncle said.
I knew it.
Wala pa rin siyang panalo kay Tita Monique.
Pft.
"E-Ehem! So... Viah. I'll treat you to a fantastic meal next time ha? Just say the date and I'll be right away. But I'll say bye for now. I need to check some urgent papers. Thank you again my beloved pamangks! Hahahahahaha!" he said.
I smiled before I hung up.
I looked outside through the car's window.
"I missed her badly." bulong ko sa sarili.
I heaved a deep sigh.
How lame of me for thinking about letting her go.
I can't.
I just can't.
