"Hi beautiful," Karl smiled excitedly when he answered my FaceTime.

"Hi baby," I smiled, "I've missed you."

"You call me baby now? I can get used to that," Karl blushed.

"I will call you whatever you want me to."

Karl rose his eyebrow at me suggestively, making me roll my eyes before he laughed. No sir, we keep a certain nickname that starts with a D far away from me.

"What have you been up today?" Karl asked.

"Not a lot, I read a book when I got home from work and that's really the only thing I've done today," I laughed, "what about you?"

"We filmed a gaming video this afternoon and I'm going to stream in a little while. What book did you read?" Karl smiled.

"Turtles All the Way Down," I smiled, "John Green is my all time favorite author."

"What's it about?" Karl asked.

"It's about a 16-year-old girl who has obsessive compulsive disorder who's best friend gets her caught up in trying to solve the disappearance of a local CEO. She struggles with being trapped in her own mind while falling in love with the CEO's son and trying to figure out what happened to the CEO," I explained.

"Interesting, do they solve the mystery?"

"Actually, the CEO died but he is a huge douche. He's actually had a tuatara, which is a lizard with supposedly a long lifespan, and he put all of this research into how to get the long life of a tuatara and then left all of his fortune to taking care of the lizard instead of leaving it for his son. How shitty is that?" I scoffed.

"Super shitty," Karl agreed, "why would you want to live as long as your lizard?"

"We'll never know how about the interworking of a billionaire CEO's brain," I laughed.

Karl and I kept talking for almost two hours about simultaneously nothing and everything. Like always, the content of our conversations didn't matter, just that we were having the conversation with each other. I love him. I absolutely love him. I can't deny it, not even a little bit, and we aren't even in an official relationship.

"I'm going to be on call soon for the stream if you want to stay on FaceTime to talk to me during it," Karl offered with that sweet pouty look.

"I'd love to. What are you playing tonight?" I asked.

"Dream, Ethan, and I are playing Minecraft tonight," Karl smiled.

"Rude, you're playing with Ethan but not Bailey," I laughed.

"Different Ethan," Karl laughed, "I mean Tags, but I didn't think you would know him by his nickname."

"Have I met him?" I asked, "I honestly don't know if I've met him."

"He was on the island with us, he lost for not being subscribed to PewDiePie," Karl explained.

"Oh!" I finally realized who he was talking about, "yeah I don't think we actually talked, but he was funny."

"Hey, don't you get any ideas about leaving me for someone else," Karl playfully threatened.

"I would never," I giggled.

"Okay, they're calling me, they don't know you're on the phone," Karl laughed.

"I'll be silent over here watching your adorable self play Minecraft," I smiled.

"You're making me blush," Karl mumbled.

"Who's making you blush? Where's Ava?" Clay laughed immediately through the call, saying my name very suggestively.
