@AvaMontgomery_: Prepare for trouble, and make it double. To protect the world from devastation. To unite all people within our nation. To denounce the evils of truth and love. To extend our reach to the stars above.

"Are you sure about this?" Karl asked.

"Extremely," I smiled, "but I told you we can change if you're uncomfortable."

"I'm not uncomfortable, but I just want to make sure this is your perfect costume for our first Halloween together," Karl assured me.

"I'm sure, I couldn't think of a better pair," I smirked.

"You're cute," Karl laughed, "come on, we're already late and we have a Halloween party to get to."

Karl grabbed my hand and together we made our way out to my car, having me drive us over to Chandler's. I had done a lot of work, collecting pieces for these costumes and doing some DIY to make them perfect. I'm anxious to see how everyone responds to them.

When I parked my car on the street outside of Chandler's house, I wasn't surprised to find the party completely in full swing. The house was packed and it seems to be impossible to find anyone inside if you lose them.

"Hey!" Chandler cheered in excitement as Karl and I walked in hand in hand.

"Hey," I smiled happily.

"You guys look great, I knew you'd show up as a cute couple, but you have outdone yourselves," Chandler smiled.

"Thank you," Karl smiled, "Ava did all the work."

I giggled as Karl leaned down to kiss me. Every time he kisses me, no matter where we are or what's happening around us, it's like we're the only people in the room. The only people to ever exist in this moment.

When Karl gently pulled back from our kiss, he reached his hand up to my jaw, tenderly rubbing his thumb over my skin. We walked further into the party, greeting everyone who said hello to us until we reached the living room where Katie and Chris were sitting together.
