YOUR POINT OF VIEW

I woke up to a loud tapping on my window. I check the time on the old wizarding grandfather clock in my room. 2:34 am, Tuesday December 2nd. I slowly trudged out of bed over to my window. I saw Daisy pecking furiously at the door and let her in. On her leg, she carried three scrolls. I untied them and gave her a cracker. She went to go rest as I opened the first letter. It was from Malfoy. I could tell because he addressed it to "Princess." God I hated that stupid childish nickname. The second was from Hermione. She seems to be having a grand time in Paris. Lastly, from Harry and Ron. I could obviously tell that Harry wrote it because of the handwriting. Of course they used a napkin. I began to write my second letters when I saw a large shadow darken my writing space. I turned around and...

MALFOY'S POINT OF VIEW

It was now September 2nd. I raced down to the great hall, excited for my letter from Y/L/N. Its only been a day, but I already miss her. How her smile brightens the room, and how just being around her makes my day better and lightens my mood. I watched as I saw a puny owl gracefully land next to me. I gave it part of my apple, and gently untied the scroll from her leg. The owl perched on my shoulder and began cuddling up to me, again, reading the letter with me. "Malfoy, I'm so happy that you enjoyed the pastries! Things are pretty boring here so far, so I was more than excited to read your letter! All I have done so far here is talk to relatives. They're all staying over for the entire break, and I don't have an ounce of time by myself, so I'm sure that you have it way better there at Hogwarts. I miss you so much already, and I wish that I had you here with me to give me warm hugs and comfort over the holidays. I love you Malfoy. Your "honorary sister" - Y/N
P.S- please stop calling me princess. You know it gets on my nerves.
P.P.S- I told Harry that if you bother him, I'll send you a howler without hesitation.
P.P.P.S- Daisy must love you. She doesn't even cuddle with me

I read the letter and smiled to myself. I picked up a quill and some parchment and wrote "My dearest PRINCESS, with all due respect your majesty, I will not stop calling you "princess" until you stop being one. I loved reading your letter. I'm sorry that your family isn't leaving you alone. Things here at Hogwarts aren't very fun either. I just stay inside studying or playing quidditch outside. Even just reading your letter brought a smile to my face. That's how bored I am. I'll try my best to ignore Harry. I await your next letter by tomorrow. I miss you and I love you. Your "honorary brother"- Draco Malfoy"

I rolled up the scroll and tied it to the owl. "So you must be Daisy. Take this to Y/N please." I said to the owl. I watched as the Daisy also delivered a separate letter to Weasley and Potter. I don't know why, but I felt a pang of jealousy that punched me in the stomach. I got up from the stable and walked away.

Her letters became a routine in my day, just like brushing my teeth. Reading and writing letters was the only thing that made this winter break manageable. The next couple of days, her letters were filled with light and hope. The same light and hope of which defined her.

It was now Friday morning. I quickly got ready for the day and went down to the great hall, waiting for the daily small rolled up parchment as I ate my breakfast. Soon I saw Daisy. Daisy had become more accustomed to me, so this time, as I unrolled the scroll and began to read, she allowed me to scratch the side of her head as she cooed affectionately. I unrolled the letter. This one was a great deal shorter than her usual letters. I started to read the letter. "Malfoy, I hope you will forgive me even though I have done this terrible thing. I can't wait to see you again- Y/N"

"What terrible thing?" I thought. I looked back at the letter. It was stained with tears. "She's done a horrible thing, and she can't wait to see me again." I thought. Then sudden realization hit me as hard as a bludger. "Is she-" I couldn't even bring myself to think of what she's done. "No. Not again." I thought. I remembered that night on the astronomy tower. I quickly brought out a piece of parchment, and wrote a letter. Not to Y/N. "Hermione, I know we aren't on the best terms but this is an emergency. I received this letter from Y/N this morning. I can just imagine what she has done. It pains me greatly to turn to you in this hour of need, but this is bigger than our problems. Please find out what is wrong and write me back. Regretfully, Draco Malfoy."

I paper-clipped the letter from Y/N onto this one, and stuck it in an envelope. I tied it to the leg of Daisy and continued to write another letter. "Princess, what have you done? You're really worrying me. Please write back and let me know you're okay." I rolled this one up and tied it to Daisy's other leg.

HERMIONE'S POINT OF VIEW

I woke up that morning in my hotel in Paris. I saw Daisy at my window with a note. Unlike it's usual scroll form, this was in an envelope. I let Daisy in and took the letter. I opened it and read the note. It was from Malfoy. It must be pretty urgent for him to have mailed me. I read it and realized immediately what was going on. I read the attached letter for more insight and everything was clear.

"Y/N, Malfoy wrote me about your most recent letter. Is everything alright? What's going on? From, Hermione."
