YOUR POINT OF VIEWI approached the two large doors, waiting anxiously for the announcer to call my name.
MALFOY'S POINT OF VIEW
Fucking Blaise had to invite Y/N to the dance. It was already too fucking hard to stay away from her. The more she avoided me, the more I wanted her. And I always get what I want. But the easiest thing to do was just stay away from her. Not to look at her, talk to her, nothing. If she wanted to stay away from me because I was a deatheater, I couldn't blame her. I would too. So I just kept telling myself that I didn't like her. And the more that I thought it, the more I believed it.
"MS. Y/N Y/L/N" I heard the voice boom. As the voice startled me, I looked up. Oh fuck. Why was she making this so hard for me. She was- there was no word that came close to her beauty in that moment. I felt my jaw drop slightly. She blushed from the attention and the stares from everyone, and smiled. The dress, though modest, was amazing. She floated down the stairs, gracefully, reminding me of a swan gliding an a lake. The light from the chandelier sparkled in her eyes. Her smile lit up the room, and it was as if she was radiating pure joy. As much as I could tell myself over and over again, I can't deny that I had feelings for her. I tried to block it out, but I failed.
YOUR POINT OF VIEW
I walked down the stairs to the ballroom, and felt all eyes on me. My heart was beating out of my chest. I felt my face get hot and I smiled. I looked over at the people in the room, and the first person who I saw, was Malfoy. He was wearing a black suit, and- well I didn't think that anyone could look like that wearing all black. We made eye contact for a split second, and I looked away quickly. Oh no. I felt the same disgusting feeling. Those fucking butterflies in my stomach, my face getting redder. I hated myself for feeling that way. For a deatheater. I reached the end of the stairs, and was met by Blaise.
He held out a hand. "Wanna dance?" He asked. I laughed and agreed. The orchestra started playing a waltz. I grabbed his hand, and rested my hand on his shoulder. He took one of his hands, and placed it on my waist. We started to dance, laughing, and talking as we did so. He spun me around as we switched to a random partner. I was met by Terrence Higgs, a rather handsome Slytherin, who was captain of the quidditch team. "Y/N. I didn't expect to see you here." He said with a surprised face. "And why not?" I asked. "Hm because the Malfoy's only invite Slytherins. How did you get here?" He sneered, rather snootily. "I happened to have received a plus one invite. But I bet you were only invited so the Malfoy's could reserve a spot for Malfoy next year as seeker." I sneered.
We were spun around again, and randomly switched dancing partners. I felt an ice cold hand on my waist and on my hand. I placed my hand on their shoulder gently and met their free hand with mine. I knew just who it was. It sent goosebumps up and down my spine. I met their gaze, trying to keep mine cold and unfriendly. "Malfoy." I spat at him. Under the chandelier light, I could see every shade of blonde and soft brunette. I allowed myself to study him, as I'd never had the chance. I saw every speckle of green, blues, and greys in his eyes. I let my eyes travel to his sharp jawline, which he clenched, either with annoyance, or nervousness.

I switched partners and landed with
Y/N. I grabbed her waist and her hand, which were both warm, in comparison to my cold hands. I saw her eyes study my face, and suddenly became self conscious. I clenched my jaw. I pulled her closer by the waist, so our bodies were touching. I had to look down to face her. She gasped in surprise. I could smell her minty breath and sweet perfume. "You know Y/N. You're making this more and more difficult." I sneered. "I have no idea what you're talking about Mr. Malfoy." She said. "To stay away." I whispered slyly. I spun her around and we switched again.YOUR POINT OF VIEW
He pulled me closer, tightening his grip on my waist. His expensive cologne cut through the air, and was the only thing I could smell. "You know Y/N. You're making this more and more difficult." He whispered angrily. Butterflies erupted in my stomach from our bodies being so close together. Shit. "I have no idea what you're talking about Mr. Malfoy." I said nervously. When Malfoy gets angry, he'll do anything to get his way. "To stay away." He whispered in my ear. He spun me around, and left.
I was left in the middle of the ballroom in shock at what had just happened. I stepped outside in the backyard. I saw a beautiful garden, with a marble bench next to a fountain. I sat on the bench and caught my breath. I looked up at the sky. I had never seen so many stars in my entire life. I thought back to what Malfoy had said about him being named after a constellation. I quickly spotted the Draco constellation, and made out a large dragon in the shape of the stars.
I heard someone open the door and step outside. "Y/N are you alright? I saw you step outside." Said Blaise. "Erm- yeah. Yeah. I'm fine." I responded. "Y/N, if I'm good at one thing, it's being able to tell when someone's not okay." He chuckled. I froze. Could I trust and tell Blaise that Malfoy was a deatheater?
