YOUR POINT OF VIEW"Thanks you guys." I said. "No problem Y/N." said Fred. "We're always here for you." Finisher George. I smiled, sadly. "What is it
Y/N?" Asked Luna. Curiously. "Oh. Well I have so many wonderful friends. And you're all here for me, but the one person who I really need isn't here with me." I said. "Wow." Said Ginny. I chuckled slightly from her remark. "She really loves him doesn't she?" Asked Neville. Blaise smiled and hugged me. "Yeah she does. How about that? Draco's a lover man." Laughed Blaise. I whacked him playfully in the arm. "Oh shut it." I laughed.Soon, everyone had stopped worrying so much, and were talking amongst themselves. "Hey Y/N?" Asked Dean. "Yeah?" I responded. "What's that around your neck?" He asked. I patted the spot on the couch beside me. "Sit." I said. He sat down next to me. I cupped the locket in my hands and he watched over my shoulder. I started to cry a little. "Oi! Dean! What'd you do?" Yelled Ron. Everyone crowded around us and saw the locket. "I just miss him so much." I said in between soft cries. "This was after he saved my life for the second time." I chuckled.
"Well it's a beautiful gold locket." Said Hermione after a while. I smiled at her compliment. "Thanks. But I think what's inside is more valuable." I said. I opened the locket and saw the picture inside. Draco and I together and happy. Ginny gasped. "Oh my god! Y/N! I'm so sorry!" She said. "For what?" I asked. "Well we all thought that you were crazy for dating Malfoy, but... we've never seen you more happy than in this picture." She said. I smiled, thinking about Draco. Those cold nights when we cuddled against each other. The smell of his cologne, the feeling of his breath against me. The way his kisses tasted. The feeling of his hand in mine. Or mine in his. Godric. I'd do anything to see him again. Just to hear him say that he loves me.
"I'm breaking up with Michael." Said Ginny finally. "Wait why?" I asked her. She sighed. "I want what you and Malfoy have! Michael just doesn't make me feel that way." She said. Oh godric finally. We all hated Michael, and it was about time she broke things off.
TWO MONTHS LATER
"Two months. He's been gone that long. I miss him so fucking much. What if he's gone the whole year? There's only two more months in the school year left anyhow. What if he doesn't come back? What if things 'got messy' and I never get to say bye to him for the last time? What if-" I dropped my quill and stopped writing. This wasn't going to help. I suddenly heard the door open. I scrambled to shove the piece of parchment into a drawer and shut it quickly. "Y/N?" Asked Hermione. "Uh- erm- yeah?" I said back. "The Yule ball is today." She said. "I'm not going without Draco. It's useless." I responded. "Come on! Just you and me! We'll have a girls night." She said. I groaned and thought for a second. "I'll think about it." I said finally. She nodded, and left the room.
A few hours later was 6:00 in the afternoon. Hermione, Ginny, Dean, Seamus, and Ron all burst into my room. "FUCK!" I said, startled. "Oh. It's just you." I said. Ron laughed. "Alright. Enough moping around, get ready for the ball!" Said Hermione. "I've decided. I'm not going. I haven't even got a dress!" I said defensively. "Oh yes you do!" Said Ginny excitedly. "We went into Hogsmead and got one for you! Go put it on!" She said. What the fuck was wrong with them. Don't they know that the reason I don't want to go is because I haven't anyone to go with? I reluctantly took the dress and brought it with me into the bathroom to go change.
I slipped on the ball gown and looked at myself in the mirror.
I guess going to the ball wouldn't be that horrible. I found at the bottom of the bag, a little tiara. I laughed slightly, thinking of my childish nickname. It wasn't the type of tiara I wan used to. This one rested on my forehead, and a gem rested somewhere above the middle of my brows. It was beautiful.
I got out the heels and looked at them. How much money had they spent? Everything looked so expensive. I promised myself that I would pay them back after the ball. I slipped on the elegant pink shoes.
I curled my hair, put on some light natural eye makeup, eyeliner, lashes, and a pink lipstick to match. Even if I don't dance with Draco, I could still have a bloody good time tonight. "Y/N what's taking so long?" I heard Ginny whine. "One moment. Close your eyes." I said excitedly. After a second or two, I stepped out of the bathroom. "Okay, open." I said. Everyone's jaw dropped when they opened their eyes. "Oh shit do I look that good?" I asked jokingly. "Not good. Bloody brilliant." Said Ron. I laughed at his remark. "Alright. How much did this cost? I'm paying you back." I said.
Hermione grinned. "None actually! You were sent this in a parcel by Dobby! He said that it had already belonged to you." She said. I realized something suddenly. I stopped and stared at myself in the mirror again. "Of course! Why didn't I see it before?" I said to myself. "See what?" Asked Dean. "Erm- my mother wore this dress. You know, when she had her Yule ball. I would always see this in the closet as a child, but she told me not to touch it." I said. "Are you alright?" Asked Seamus. I nodded and turned back at them, smiling. "Yeah! It's just funny how history repeats itself. Anyways. We have a ball to go to."
