YOUR POINT OF VIEWI woke up the next morning, alone in bed. I was in Draco's room, still wearing his sweatshirt. I was so alone, but gladly, I could still see Draco everyday from my locket. I opened it and saw Draco. He looked so happy. I held his sweatshirt to my nose and smelled it. It smelled of his cologne. God I missed him so much already. I knew that it would get harder and harder to be without him, but I promised myself to make the best of my time.
I made my way to the great hall and sat by Blaise. "Oh hey Draco." He said without looking up. I felt tears in my eyes, but laughed them away. "Blaise it's me." He looked up and said "oh. Well sorry. I just smelled his cologne and saw the sweatshirt." He suddenly realized that I had tears in my eyes. He quickly got up and hugged me. I allowed myself to cry onto his shoulder. "What's going on?" He asked. "Draco left, and I don't know when he'll be back." I managed to get out in between sobs. "It's gonna be fine. We can have a good time without Draco." He said. I knew he said it to comfort me, but it only made me cry more.
People were starting to stare at me, but I didn't care. Obviously Blaise did, because we left the great hall and sat in the hallway. "I- I just miss him so much already, a-and we can't even write- a- and he c-could get hurt-t." Blaise pulled away from the hug and pulled my hands away from my eyes. "Y/N? Do you trust Draco?" He asked. It was a silly question. Of course I did. "Yes." I said. "And do you know how strong he is?" He asked. I thought about the times he had beat up Harry, almost leaving him dead with just his fists. It honestly sometimes scared me about what he could do and how much he could hurt someone if he wanted to. I nodded.
"Then you know he'll be alright." He said. I knew that. If course he'd be alright. But I was still worried, and I still missed him.
"Hate to break up the sentiment, but Dumbledore has an announcement!" Said Hermione suddenly. She was standing at the entrance of the great hall, motioning us to come.
We got up and sat back down at the Slytherin table. Dumbledore approached the podium, and tapped his wand against the wood to get everybody's attention.
"Due to very popular demand of the students," he boomed, "We will be bringing the Yule ball back annually. The ball will take place on April 1st." He said. There were loud charters of excitement between the students. April? That was two months away! It was only March. All the teachers left the great hall, allowing us to finish our breakfast. I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around and saw a boy who's name was Ernie Macmillan. I recognized him from DA. "Oh hi Ernie." I said. He flushed pink. "What did I say? Oh my god was that not your name?" I asked. "N-no, it's just that I wanted to know if you wanted to go to the Yule ball with me." He looked rather nervous and quite squeamish.
"Oh sorry Ernie, I have a boyfriend." I said. Gladly, he back away. "Oh alright! Thanks anyways!" He said. That was the good thing about Hufflepuffs. They always knew when to stop. Most of them at least. I shuddered, thinking about Cedric. "Wow Y/N, only one day without Draco, and the boys are already racing to you." He said laughing. I rolled my eyes at him playfully. "You know, I haven't really been around Ron or Hermione a lot lately. Maybe I should spend some time with them. You know what, never mind. It's just awkward with Harry being my ex and all." I said cringing.
"Y/N!" I heard a voice yell. Andrew Kirke. The other beater on team B for Gryffindor. Blaise laughed. "Shut it Blaise. Trust me, it's not that." I mumbled to him, which for some odd reason made him laugh louder. "Y/N! Harry said we have a game today against Ravenclaw!" That lifted my mood miraculously. "Thanks Andrew!" I said. "Yeah!" He breathed before running back. "All right jock. See you at the field." Laughed Blaise. I walked him on the arm before going to my dorm to change.
I got in my dorm and threw on my uniform, and put my hair in a loose bun. I remembered my first game against Draco. How we stood in the mirror together. Red against green.
I quickly sprinted down to the field. Before the game started, and examined our team. No one on the Ravenclaw team looked very athletic. They all looked nervous. I didn't recognize anyone besides Cho Chang. She shot me a sideways smile of guilt. Of course she felt guilty of what happened between Cedric and I last year. I walked over to her quickly. "Erm- Cho, I just wanted to let you know that I don't blame you for what happened with Cedric and me." I said. She nodded. I waited for her to say something, but she didn't so I just walked back.
We all mounted our brooms and took our position. From my position, I could see Lee Jordan, the quidditch announcer. A small amount of people were lining up with small knuts and sickles.
I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard a loud whistle blow. We started playing the game. It was strengths against brains. Obviously, Ravenclaw was a formidable opponent. Their strategies were amazing, yet sometimes they lacked on the actual ability to pull it off. They were more scary in the library than the quidditch field. They always put up a good fight though, and lasted quite long. About two hours into the game, we adjourned for a break to meet with Harry to discuss a strategy. I got off of my broom, and I was standing in the middle of the field, when I heard a loud voice.
"Y/N! This is for you from Will Adams! Will wants to know if you'll go to the ball with him!" Lee yelled over the microphone. I looked over to the stands and yelled "NO!" Lee laughed and said "Ouch! Sorry Will! Guess you missed the memo. Y/N is very, very taken!"
"Get over here Y/L/N!" I heard Kirke yell, motioning me over. "Sorry!" I yelled back. I sprinted over. "Alright. So plan is, knock the chasers off their brooms, so I have more time to find the snitch. The longer they're off their brooms, the more time our chasers have to score more points." Said Harry. It really was the most obvious game plan, and quite simple too, but everyone looked at Harry like he was a genius.
"Y/L/N beats the bludger, hitting Davies off of his broom! Meanwhile, Johnson throws the quaffle into the centre hoop, earning a solid 10 points for gryffindor! The score is now 100 to 80, with Gryffindor in the lead with a small 20 points! It really is anyone's game now!" Yelled Lee. He really was a wonderful announcer. "Oh wait! Ladies and Gentlemen! Harry Potter has done it again! He has caught the snitch! Gryffindor winning at a staggering two-hundred-and-fifty points! And I do believe that is another 10 house cup points awarded to Gryffindor professor McGonagall!" He yelled.
We all got down on the ground and started to congratulate Harry.
"Y/N? You're needed to discuss something about your dad with Dumbledore." Said Neville. "What?"
