NARRATORS POINT OF VIEWThe six of them went down to the quidditch field and split into teams. Y/N, Draco, and Hermione on one team, and Blaise, Pansy, and Ginny on the other. At the end of the game, Y/N, Draco, and Hermione won! No, no. They didn't. They lost by 15 fucking points, which Draco was obviously mad about.
"No! We scored all of the points through the hoops with a quaffle! We scored 185 points! Then Ginny happened to find the snitch and got 200 points! Fine! You guys won, but we should've! We worked harder to get those points!" Draco argued. "So? It's the rules of the game! Instead of scoring those points, you should've been looking for the snitch!" Replied Ginny. "But-" Y/N interrupted him with a passionate, but slow kiss. "Ugh. Wait until you get a room to kiss your boyfriend Y/N." Ginny said. "I think it's sweet." Said Hermione. "I think it's revolting." Replied Ginny. "Woah. Stepping up your lip work Princess?" Said Draco, once Y/N pulled away. "Well, I've had a lot of practice recently. Plus, it's the only way to shut you up." Said Y/N with a smirk.
"And Ginny, the only reason you think it's revolting is because you're still waiting for Harry to ask you out." Y/N said. Ginny gasped and thwacked Draco on the arm. "Hey! What was that for?" Asked Draco. "For all the times you've made Y/N cry." She replied. Draco's expression suddenly went grim, and he had a look of guilt on his face. "Also, Y/N, I am NOT waiting for him to ask me out! I don't even like him!" She replied defensively.
Yes. Yes she does.
"Surreeeee." Said Blaise. "Yeah. Keep telling yourself that Gin." Said Pansy.
YOUR POINT OF VIEW
I was laughing with everyone and having fun before I saw the look on Draco's face. He had a new expression that I couldn't read. He looked sad, but not exactly. I wish I could tell what he was thinking. I turned to face him and held both his hands. "Hey Draco? What's going on?" I asked him. "I feel bad for hurting you" I heard him say. But wait. His lips didn't move. "It's nothing Y/N. Don't worry about me." He said with a fake smile plastered on his face.
"Ginny? Hermione? Blaise and Pansy? I'm feeling a bit sick so Draco's taking me back. Isn't that right?" I asked Draco. He raised an eyebrow suspiciously. "Of course I'll take you back." He said. "So we'll see the rest of you guys tomorrow?" I asked the group. "Yeah." "Bye!" "Feel better!" They all said.
Draco did a little bow, extending his hand out. I giggled at his gesture, and curtseyed before taking it. We walked back, hand in hand to his dorm.
When we got back to his dorm, I closed and locked the door. "Oh? So this is why you wanted to leave?" He said, lifting up his shirt. "Oh my godric, no. I mean yes. Definitely later, but for now we need to talk." I replied. "Okay." He agreed, putting his shirt back on. "Draco, I think I accidentally read your mind." I said. "Oh god. I'm sorry, but when you locked the door, I thought we came up here to do something, and, well, you know, my imagination runs pretty wild..." he said. "Draco! Focus! I'm serious! Back before you said not to worry about you, I heard your thoughts saying you felt bad for hurting me." I said. "I wasn't joking." I heard him breathe.
"I think it's probably one of your powers as the new heir. Didn't the rumour say that you would gain unknown powers?" He asked. "Yeah. I think so." I replied. "Hey Y/N? I'm really sorry about all the times I've hurt you. If I could, I would take it all back." He said. He looked guilty and hurt. I smiled sweetly at him. "I know Love. I'm not mad." I said, kissing his cheek. "I'm sorry for lying earlier too." He whispered. "I know you are. I also know you won't lie to me again." I replied. "So, about your newfound power, who do we talk to? We would normally talk to Dumbledoor about this, but seeing as he's-"
"Unavailable."
"Right. So, who do we talk to?"
"I'm assuming the next best person who would know about this."
"McGonagall?"
"Exactly."
We walked down to the HeadMistress's office (seeing as she was the new one because of Dumbledoor's untimely death). "Professor? I have some questions if that's alright with you." I said, knocking on the door. "Oh. Of course, come on in." She said with a shaky voice. I opened the door slowly and stepped in. I sat down, across from her in a burgundy armchair. Draco stayed behind at the dorm, because he said it wouldn't be right for him to be in Dumbledoor's old office. "Y/N. What a lovely surprise. And how are you?" She asked, faking a brave smile. "I'm doing just fine. How are you holding up, given the... circumstances?" I asked. Her eyes watered but she quickly blinked them away. "Don't worry about me. What did you come here for?"
"Well Professor, I was wondering if Dumbledoor ever shared information to you about the Slytherin heir?"
"If Albus had shared information about the Slytherin heir? Why, I believe he did. He instructed me to give you this if you ever came asking." She looked through her cabinet drawers until she pulled out a vial with a black liquid in it labeled
"Y/L/N, heir, 1980" She handed it to me. I took the mysterious bottle, immediately recognizing the year. My birth year, and the defeat of Voldemort. "What is it?" I asked. "A memory. Just pour it into the large basin filled with swirling blue water." She instructed.I walked over to the large basin. It had a series of ancient runes that spelled out "pensive". So this is a pensive? I've only heard of them in books and scrolls. I uncorked the bottle, and poured it into the basin. I looked over to McGonagall for further instructions. "Go in." She said. I leaned down, and the blue water met my face.
