Chapter 25: Pancakes

"Good morning" Oikawa was greeted as he came downstairs.

Oikawa had been sleeping over Iwaizumi's for the past three days. They would talk, cuddle and sometimes Isuzu would sleep between them. It really felt like they were a family.

"Coffee?" Iwaizumi asked as he poured one cup for himself.

"Yes, please." Oikawa stretched before taking a seat at the dining table.

Iwaizumi stood wearing a hoodie and jeans. Made Oikawa question.

"No work today?" Oikawa asked taking the cup of coffee from Iwaizumi.

"I've got the night shift today." Iwaizumi told him taking a seat opposite Oikawa.

Oikawa looked down at his cup of coffee. And he looked a bit sad. He didn't want to sleep alone. He'd gotten too used to sleeping in Iwaizumi's arms.

"Why you lookin so sullen?" Iwaizumi asked taking a sip of his coffee.

"Nothing," Oikawa replied.

"Are we gonna do this every time?" Iwaizumi sighed.

"Fine," Oikawa said. "I'll miss you," Oikawa mumbled.

"Speak up I couldn't hear-" Iwaizumi was cut off by Isuzu's scream.

Iwaizumi left everything and ran upstairs as his life depended on it. Oikawa followed him as fast as he could.

"Zuzu!!" Iwaizumi said loudly reaching her room but couldn't find her.

"In the bathroom," Isuzu said loudly.

Turning to the bathroom Iwaizumi banged the door open.

"Spider spider spider!!!" She screamed.

Then Oikawa saw there was a huge spider walking on her arm. Iwaizumi's gaze was on the ceiling looking for the spider.

"Haya!" Oikawa said loudly as he smacked the spider from Isuzu's arm to the floor and crushed it.

Oikawa picked up Isuzu in his arms and she started crying instantly.

"It was so b-b-big." She hiccuped.

"Shhh it's okay," Oikawa soothed her.
"It's dead now don't worry." He made eye contact with Iwaizumi and saw the shocked yet in awe face.

Oikawa carried Isuzu to her room and kept her on her bed. She rubbed her eye and Oikawa gently removed them.

"That's gonna make your eyes red." He smiled at her and she let out a small giggle.

"Don't copy my line," Isuzu said still giggling.

Iwaizumi leaned against the door frame looking at the two talking and smiled to himself.

Oikawa turned around to see Iwaizumi slightly smiling at them.

"Change and come for breakfast Isuzu." Iwaizumi told her walking to her before kidding her head.

"Oki daddy." She gave a toothy grin to Iwaizumi making him smile and pick her up in his arms and twirl her.

"Weeee..." Isuzu went as Iwaizumi came to a stop and put her down.

"Now do you want pancakes or French toast?" Iwaizumi asked Isuzu.

"Daddy, don't you have work today?" She asked Iwaizumi with a confused look.

"I've got the night shift so I'm all yours till 8 pm." Iwaizumi smiled at her.

"Aw, man couldn't they give you the whole day off." She pouted. "Ehh at least you're free right now." She moved and hugged Iwaizumi's legs.

She was young but was tall for her age. She was taller than Iwaizumi's knees. And Iwaizumi was a good height.

"Pancakes." She told Iwaizumi.

"Okay, now you go change." Iwaizumi told her heading for the door.

"Okay." She told him before pushing Oikawa out of the room.

"Okay okay, I'm going." Oikawa chuckled.

Iwaizumi stood next to the stove pouring some pancake mixture on the pan and flipping them occasionally.
