When Destiny Plays

Chapter 22

Kahit na palubog na ang araw ay abalang-abala pa rin ang lahat sa sari-sarili nilang gawain. Sina Alishabeth at Carmine ay naisipang magpunta sa isang coffee shop malapit lang sa village nila Alishabeth. They just wanted to have a simple conversation about their lives, hobbies, friends and of course about the part time job that they had been wanting to start for their families.

After ordering two cappuccino for themselves, they started doing their artworks again—creatively with passion. They just continued what they did yesterday. Hindi man madali makatapos ng artwork, para sa kanila worth it naman ang pagod 'pag natapos nila ang mga iyon.

"So, are you going to pursue your talent, as a fashion designer in the future?" Alishabeth asked Carmine out of nowhere while both of them were paying attention to their works.

"Siguro, I love making different designs of outfits e," sagot naman ni Carmine, still busy sketching her designs.

"Ikaw ba? Ano'ng gusto mo maging... in the near future?" tanong ni Carmine habang patuloy na kumikilos ang kanang kamay niya sa pagguhit ng disensyo sa papel.

Alishabeth stopped for a moment. "Gusto ko maging Veterinarian... saka magpatayo ng sarili kong restaurant para na rin kila mama," paliwanag niya.

"Kasi balak kong magtrabaho sa ibang bansa para in case na delayed ang pagpapadala ng pera kila mama... nand'yan ang restaurant para sa kanila." Carmine slowly nodded, she loves how Alishabeth cares for her family more than herself. She's selfless, anf it made her more beautiful inside and out.

"Sana matupad mo 'yang goals mo in life, we'll always be here to support you no matter what," saad ni Carmine.

"I am hoping na lahat tayo ay makakapagtapos and will reach our goals in life." The topic was changed after talking about their dreams someday, the topic went into something far from the near future.

It was about battling between themselves and their problems. Realizing that those problems has solutions and could be solved in many possible ways, not now but soon.

"Naaawa ako kay Koeli," Carmine said as she opened a new topic.

"Yeah, ako rin."

They had been noticing Koeli's attitude towards Eunice lately. Dati naman ay maayos pa ang pakikitungo nito kay Eunice, ngunit nang malaman niyang nagugustuhan ito ni Rei, she felt insecure and jealous.

"Mag -aapat na taon na simula no'ng umamin si Koeli kay Rei." Napabuntong hininga si Carmine at ibinaba muna ang hawak niyang lapis sa mesa.

Bahagya siyang napayuko at mabagal na umiling. "Apat na taon... apat na taon na siyang umaasang magiging magkaibigan sila ni Rei pero... hindi nangyayari, masakit 'yon... para sa 'kin." Carmine began to recall the occurrences happened for the past few years, it all weren't good and nice at all.

"Ginagawa naman ni Koeli ang lahat para magustuhan siya ni Rei... no, kahit maging magkaibigan na lang sila pero si Rei, dedma..." madiing sabi ni Carmine, halata sa boses nito ang pagkainis.

"Wala dapat sa gardening at computer club si Koeli kundi dahil kay Rei, nasa dance club sana si Koeli o kaya naman art club." Carmine made an eye contact with Alishabeth to tell more of her rants about Rei.

"At isa pa, hindi dapat niya pinapahabol ang babae..."

"Pwede naman kasi niyang maging kaibigan... bakit niya iniiwasan?"

"What a selfish person." She crossed her arms and smirked.

"Pagdating ng araw, maiintindihan din niya ang mga pinagdadaanan ni Koeli ngayon, I swear." She raised her right hand and pledged.
