Isang malakas na pagputok ng baril ang narinig at ikinagulat nila. Nakaramdam ng kirot ang kanilang mga tainga at bahagyang napatigil sa pagtakbo ang dalawa.

Alishabeth's eyes widened as the sound of the gun made her stopped. She slowly turned her head down and started checking herself.

"Hindi..." bulong niya at napalunok.

Dahan-dahan siyang lumingon sa likuran niya kung saan, doon nakita ng dalawang mata niya ang kasama niyang nanghihina at limitado na lamang ang kilos na kayang gawin.

"Alisha..." Nagtama ang mga mata nina Alishabeth at Sabrina nang marinig niya ang pagtawag nito sa kanya.

"Sabrina!"

Ang ekspresyon ng mukha ni Sabrina ay pagod na pagod na at halatang may iniindang sakit. Alishabeth's eyes widened once again after seeing Sabrina holding onto her abdomen. Mas malubha ang sakit na mararamdaman ni Sabrina kung hindi pa maaagapan. Hinahabol na ni Sabrina ang kanyang paghinga at halos hindi na makakilos.

"Sabrina!"

Before Sabrina could even possibly hit her head on the ground and lose her balance, Alishabeth on the other hand, immediately caught her. She laid Sabrina's head onto her legs and tried to avoid her tears from falling down.

"W-why is the... sky b-beautiful... even though... it's covered i-in darkness and i-is... l-lifeless?" tanong ni Sabrina habang naghihingalo.

A smile was visible across her face as she tried to catch her breath. Kahit na nahihirapan na ito sa paghinga at iniinda ang sakit, may ngiti pa ring nakikita si Alishabeth sa labi nito.

"Sabrina... don't close your eyes. Please." Tumulo ang luha niya nang magmakaawa siya kay Sabrina.

The kidnappers were nowhere to be found. Alishabeth knew that they had already ran and left. Sa kagustuhang ayaw mahuli at makulong. They didn't actually give them a certain reason why they kidnapped them. Bastards.

"I can s-see my... childhood," dinig ni Alishabeth habang nakangiti pa rin si Sabrina.

Sabrina saw different images running through her mind from her childhood days. She began to see her grandmother with her grandfather, taking care of her which made her smile.

"Lola... l-lolo..."

Alishabeth gently stroked Sabrina's hair—tried to calm herself from bursting into tears as she examined her friend lying onto her, experiencing pain and hardship. In any moment, something might happen. Wala pa ring tulong na dumadating at ang mas masaklap, hindi niya alam ang dapat niyang gawin.

"Mama..." Sabrina mumbled.

Itinaas ni Sabrina ang kanyang kaliwanag kamay at itinuro ang mga daliri sa langit. Nakatingin sa taas at sa kagandahan ng langit kahit na nababalot ito ng madidilim na ulap na magdadala ng malakas na pagbuhos ng ulan. Ang labi ay may ngiting namumuo, ngunit bigla na lamang tumulo ang luha niya nang bumalik ang kaisipan niya sa panahong isa pa lamang siyang bata.
