Chapter 25

Star

Most of the werewolves and vampires are still congregated in the courtyard, where the vampires are huddled in a group on one side of the room. The werewolves watch the vampires curiously on the other side, noticing that they're visibly anxious and restless. Suddenly, one of the vampires accidentally runs into Jared, and the two glare at each other, forehead to forehead “watch it” Jared shouts “hey” Gia shouts and lunges toward them and pulls the vampire away, while Jackson pulls Jared in the opposite direction.

I walk over to them “hey, break it up, there won't be any fighting in this house” I said mad. Everyone goes back to their corners as Marcel and Klaus are in the closed off room talking. I walk back into the room “so whats the plain because they are getting testy out there” I say, leaning on a chair. “Vincent's boundary is too strong. but, what Davina and I can do is cast a destruction spell. It would temporarily neutralize all magical objects in the compound, including the compound itself. If it works, well, then it will give us sixty seconds to escape whilst the boundary is shut down” Kol says.

“Alright, alright, that sounds good to me” Marcel says “if the spell works, it will suppress all magical objects in the vicinity. That means your rings” Klaus says and Marcel and I groan in frustration “and if we go outside in the sun without our rings, we're dead” Marcel says. “Great, I was finally liking being a vampire, now I hate it again” I say in sit in the chair. “Unless you wait for nightfall” Klaus says and Marcel sighs.

Marcel looks out toward the courtyard where the vampires are hanging out “they're also new. They're not going to be able to fight the hunger. We can't wait until nightfall. We're going to have a bloodbath on our hands before we even get close”. We all look at each other trying to figure out what to do. “So, who's staying and who's leaving and possible dying” I say more to myself as a joke. We decide to do the spell and Davina and Kol prepare for the spell.

Klaus pulls me into the hallway “get what you need to get, once that border is down we're leaving” Klaus says to me. “Klaus I can't, my ring” I start “if you cover yourself enough it won't effect you as much, I can get you someplace safe” Klaus says to me “we can find a ring that will work” Klaus says. “And if we can't” I say making Klaus go silent “Klaus these vampires are hungry and angry, someone has to stay here to watch them” I tell Klaus. “No” Klaus says “I'll be fine, I can control it, you even told me that I was the only person you ever met who could control the blood thirst under three says” I tell Klaus.

I grab his hand “I'll be fine, I promise” I say and Klaus looks at the ground as I head back out to everyone else. Davina and Jol start the spell just as a fight starts out “what are you looking at” Jared asks mad and shoves the other vampire, who lunges toward him. Josh, who is at the bar, looks backward at them in concern. “Hey” I yell as they start to fight. One smashes a nearby table leg and goes to use it as a stake. “Enough” I yell but it does nothing. The vampire goes to stab the other vampire in the stomach but I quickly run over, stepping in front of the vampire, getting stabbed in the stomach.

“Enough” Marcel yells but everyone looks at me, making me look down at myself to see that I'm bleeding. Klaus runs over and pulls the stake out, holding me. “Davina hurry” Marcel yells to her. “I'm getting you out of here” Klaus whispers in my ear “Klaus” I whisper as he still holds onto me. Suddenly, a huge gust of wind comes through and blows out all of the candles around Davina and Kol “it worked” Davina says and grabs Kol's hands with a smile.

“Okay, Jack, now” Hayley yells and crosses as all the werewolves quickly leave. “Remember, sixty seconds” Kol yells to them and Klaus quickly runs to cross the boarder before time runs out. Klaus throws Kol back into the compound where he falls and hits the stone floor, cutting his forehead. Klaus stays outside the boundary with Davina and I while still blocking Kol from leaving. “Slight change of plans, brother” I look up at Klaus as he still holds onto me.

“I no longer have to treat you as anything but the treacherous liar that you truly are” “what the bloody hell” Kol yells “where is she” Klaus yells. Kol looks backward at the vampires, who are looking at him hungrily but cannot lunge for him while their daylight rings are neutralized. I can feel myself already starting to burn but Davina starts to speak something, making me look at her. Suddenly I stop burning and I look at myself to see that I'm healing.

“Your ring works now, but only for 24 hours” Davina whispers to me “thank you” I whisper. “Klaus, please they'll kill him” Davina says to him “well, he should have thought about that before he betrayed our sister! Rebekah never made it to her new body, did she? And, seeing as you cast the spell and, well, you're you, I'd hardly call it an uncrackable case” Klaus says making me look at Kol shocked. Kol satrts to walk towards us “Rebekah's fine, Nik, it was a prank, nothing more than anything you lot have done to me, but I bet it's different when it's one of”. Kol's cut off when he crosses the boundary, which has been put back up, and burns his hand.

“Oooh. Barrier's back up” Klaus says with a smile and disappears with me. Leaving Kol to defend himself. We head into a closed bar that has been shut down and Klaus takes out his phone. “How long do we have” Klaus asks “24 hours” I say to him a he puts the phone up to his ear. “Listen, we have 24 hours to find Finn and stop him before Star's ring gives out” Klaus tells Elijah. “I will contact a few witches to see what I can do but there isn't a huge chance they'll help us” Elijah says.

“Find a way” Klaus yells “as for Rebekah trust me when I say I can handle finding her”. “And for me to do what, nothing” Elijah says threw the phone. “Not nothing, find a witch, then it will be nothing” Klaus says. Elijah sighs frustrated “Elijah, right now, the most important thing is that you are there, protecting Hope” Klaus says. “So be it, I shall remain here with the hopelessly courageous Camille. She certainly has charisma, though she does lack stealth” Elijah pauses for a moment. “I must go, I'll call back” Elijah says and hangs up.

Klaus hangs up the phone “you need to go find the, “what, no” I start “Star please, for once listen to me and don't fight me. Go, Elijah will find a witch and fix your ring, correcting this spell” “and if he doesn't” I say worried. Klaus is silent “Klaus answer me, then what, what if he can't find a witch who is whiling to help” I ask? “I don't know” Klaus say angry before sighing “I don't know” he says quieter and looks at the ground. “Right now everything is going wrong and I for once don't know what to do” Klaus says sounding upset.

I look at the ground “I do” I say, making Klaus look up at me. “You told me not to fight with you and I won't but you can't fight me when I tell you my plain” I say to him. Klaus looks at me confused “what you are going to do is find Finn, stop all of this, fix this. And I'm, I'm going back threw the boarder” I say the last part with a sigh “Star, no, if I have to I will personally brake your neck and take you to Elijah myself” Klaus says mad.

“Klaus” I say, raising my voice “if I go to Elijah and he can't find a witch them I'm stuck by myself with nothing for me to do and two human blood bags. One being our daughter. I won't hurt her nor Cami. At least when I'm behind the boarder I won't have to worry about the daylight ring and someone needs to keep everyone inline” I tell Klaus. Klaus says nothing, still mad. “Klaus, please, I'll be back and everything will be fine” I say and lay my hand on his cheek, making him look at me. “I promise” I say and he says nothing but kisses me.

“I'll fix this, I promise” he whispers to me and I nod, hiding that I'm scared “I know you will, you always do” I say to him. I take a step back “you can do this” I tell him. “I love you” he says to me “I love you too” I tell him and disappear. I run to the compound again and everyone looks over at me as I stand at the boarder line. I look at my feet before taking a deep breath and taking a step foreword, crossing the boarder line.
