"Come on Nathan." I say from downstairs so that I can take him to school.
"I'm coming mom." He says coming down the stairs.
"Well moms gotta go to work for a few hours before me and your dad go away for the weekend." I tell him walking out the door.
"Why do we have to stay with Lucy." He complains to me.
"Daddy and I are going for our anniversary, we'll go on a family vacation sometime this summer." I tell him getting into the car.
"Yea right." I look at him and his face is very upset.
"What's the matter baby." I ask him.
"Just take me to school."
"No, what's the matter." I get frustrated.
"You know how many times that you've said we would go somewhere? And we never do but when you and dad want to go somewhere.. You go but leave me and Avery." He tells me but he gets really mad.
"I'm sorry Nathan, your dad planned this." I say pulling into the schools parking lot.
He gets out without saying anything.
"I'll pick you up Nathan." I tell him but he doesn't turn around to say a word.. This hurt me, how can I treat my kids in this way? I'm a horrible mother.
