World of Warcraft One Shot

On very rare nights, when the keep failed to halt the ocean-sailing winds and meddling shamans called out against the furious elements, Elwynn forest and it's inhabitants would fall victim to harsh storms, steep rainfall and howling gales. Anduin wrapped the sheep's wool blanket tightly around you as you huddled amidst your pillows and clutched your knees tightly to your chest.

"I can help, you know?" Anduin brushed your worries aside as he dragged the stiff broom across the floorboards to collect the fine shards of shattered glass that had cascaded around the room only a few moments ago. "Be careful, don't injure yourself." With a cocky grin he assured you that he was more than capable of fixing a simple broken window.

"I promise if I need your help, I'll ask for it, okay? But it must be about three in the morning and you're up early in the morning. It's a long journey to the Wetlands and if you insist on travelling by yourself, I need you to get a good night's rest." With clattering teeth and stiffened hairs, you closed your eyes. The bitter cold seeping in through the almost completely obliterated window dug deeply into your skin, the icy chill penetrated through the many layers of covering and embedded itself into your very bones.

"Are you not feeling the cold?" You lay on the bed with eyes closed, contorted into your usual sleeping position but the allure of a dream filled sleep was not enough to combat the elements.

"Not really." Anduin shrugged as he held the wooden board up against the window. "I never feel the cold, you know that." He outstretched a rosy hand and pressed the warm fingers against your cheek.

"Come on, get that board up. I'm going to freeze my toes off if you don't hurry up. You might be okay being a freak of nature who doesn't ever seem to feel the cold but I'm actually a normal person... for the most part anyway." With three swift strikes of a flat hammer against nail against each end of the board the thick board held itself against the wall. The shrieking wind was now kept at bay outside your home but the chill still lingered. "Get your ass into bed... now!" Anduin smirked as he rested his hammer underneath the window. "I'm freezing, you're warm. Hug me!" Anduin smirked. "I don't know what you're waiting for!"
