How To Get Away With Murder One Shot

Laurel returned home from working a case with Annalise. For the last week she had been panicking about doing well on this case as it was far from simple. She had a cut instinct but needed to find enough evidence to fight for that and she was rather scared that she was going to do something wrong and end up making a fool of herself in front of her boss. You knew that she worked hard but sometimes it didn't end up paying off when she was in the courtroom.

With all the work that she had put in, you were nervous to find out how the case worked and how that looked for her. Her expression was neutral, not letting on about anything that was happening in her mind, leaving you completely uncertain whether it had gone well or not. You didn't want to make her talk about it if it had been bad however you wanted to support her and congratulate her if it had gone well.

Before you were able to say anything, she looked you in the eye and grinned. "We won."

You wrapped your arms around her and told her well done, relieved that things had worked out for her along with their client. It was always nice to know when her hard work paid off and that she was showing how well she can do the job which sometimes could go amiss.

"It was a risky move, but I made the right call. Annalise was surprised that I thought of it, but it did come out as the right choice. I was shaking when I told her, I'm just glad that she can see that she made the right choice in having me in her team," she grinned like a maniac.

"I told you that you were going to do well," you smiled. "You followed your gut and it paid off."

She hugged you tightly, lingering to remind you of how much she loves you along with how much she needed you.

"Thank you for putting up with me when I am such a high-strung bitch," she said softly. "I know that I am not the best to be around when I'm in the middle of a case, but I am so grateful that you are able to overlook that."

"Sometimes I want to throttle you, but I love you too much."

"I love you so much."

"I love you more."
