Unicorn Store One Shot
Frankly, you didn't want to know how much money Kit had spent on glitter. It didn't seem that anything in your home wasn't covered in glitter, your carpet now glistening in every light from the various packets that Kit had thrown everywhere. It wasn't quite your idea of decorating, but you couldn't deny how happy and excited it made her, so you were happy to be picking glitter out of the furnishing until next Christmas.
With hindsight you may not have agreed to let your girlfriend take control over your Christmas decoration this year but here you were in a sparkling house that was starting to give you a migraine. Kit had gone out to buy every available tub of glitter, length of tinsel and pot of sequins that she could find along with any object that consisted at least one of them on it. She had spent a couple of days working on her vision and it was perfectly apparent who had made the decisions.
In the centre of your living room was a large pink Christmas tree adorned with a few different strips of lights, an abundance of tinsel, baubles of every colour and various glittery objects that she wanted to include. Around the tree and out to every corner of the room seemed almost identical, yet completely unique making it seem as though you were stood in the centre of disco ball.
"What do you think?" Kit grinned, throwing another handful of glitter in the air, not caring that a majority of it fell into both of your hair and clung to your clothing.
"It's quite intense," you admitted. "I honestly feel like there's going to be a segment on the news tonight about the shortage of glitter in America."
She laughed at your comment. "There's never too much glitter but I did run out of stores to look into to find more."
"I can imagine," you added. "But I can see how happy this all makes you and it is definitely a unique perspective of Christmas, so I absolutely love all the hard work that you put into the decorating of the house."
Kit couldn't contain her excitement any longer, allowing herself to spin, not caring about the movement of the glitter and tinsel, simply enjoying being by your side in her perfect Christmas wonderland.
"You actually like it?" She asked, needing you to reassure her once more.
"I love everything that you do."
