The Boys One shot
It was such a big decision for Annie to practically give up her dream of becoming a member of the Seven all so she could come back with you to London when your visa ended. Of course, it was not a decision that was taken lightly by either of you and even with your most persuasive of influences you could not convince her to leave your side and pursue her dreams.
"Why don't we forget the rest of the unpacking for tonight. It's been a really long day for me, I can't imagine how tired you must be." Annie softly dropped the large pile of boxes that she hugged in her arms onto the well-loved carpet before swinging her arms around your stooped shoulders. "I'll go and find the box of food we put to the side, I remember that we put it somewhere safe, I just can't remember where that box was." With soft lips she planted a kiss firmly on your forehead and whisked herself away scouting for the elusive box.
"Don't worry about it." You called her back. "Let's just get some food delivered. Go and put the television on and put some boxes together that we can sit on. I'll go and order something, how does Chinese sound?" Her sleepy eyes bowed as she slowly nodded. "Do you just want the usual?"
"Yes please." She smiled gratefully and began stacking some of the sturdier crates in front of the staticky television. "I don't know any of these shows!" Perplexed the surfed from channel to channel whilst you finalised the order.
"What time is it?" You asked in the hopes of finding something at least half decent to show Annie the full scale of British television.
"It is five fourty-five." She stated with a deep sigh.
"Put channel four on!" You insisted. "We've only missed fifteen minutes." You plonked yourself on the makeshift sofa and waited in excitement. "You don't always realise how much you have missed something until you get it back." Annie watched in confusion but you couldn't contain your excitement as the first of the hosts brought their lamb shanks to the table.
"What is this? Is this that Bake Off that I've heard you natter on about?" You stared at her in an almost disgust.
"Just watch, I promise. This is the pinnacle of British television. This is the 'that Bake Off', this is... you know what, you're missing the scoring, just watch."
