Chap - 21

Olivia's Pov

He and I were sitting on the grass staring at the sunset together. My 2-week pregnant belly barely showing. He laid his head on my lap while I played with his soft thread-like hair. This used to be our spot. We used to come to this place whenever there was something to celebrate. And today we found the reason, we are going to be parents, even though it was not planned since we still have our college and all, we decided to be mature about this.
Of course, we are scared, but together I am sure we will get through this.

We both made small talks as we watched the sun. "Livi let's decide the name. " He said as he sat straight. "How about Rose if it's a girl or Ryan for a boy?" he asked excitedly. I don't know he's been searching up baby names the moment we got out of the hospital.

"I don't feel it," I said as I rubbed my non-existent pregnant belly.

"How about Luca for a boy and Lucia for a girl?" he smiled widely but it faltered as soon as he saw my reaction.

"How about this, we will Put our 1st letter for their names. Meaning. If it's a girl, something starting with O and if it's a boy something starting with R?" It was dumb but for us, at that time it was a good idea.

"OK then..'' he looked down eyebrows brought together as he thought deeply.

"How about Ocean if it's a girl and River if it's a boy?" he asked excitedly as if Santa just asked him to wish for anything.

"Meaning if its Ocean it would represent the depth of our relationship and love for our new baby girl and if its River it would represent our choice for taking the long road and not giving up on him because we are ready to go through it for him," he said happily after giving it some thought it finally started t make sense.

"I like that...." I said as I smiled at him.

After talking about our future on how we were going to try this long road out since I still have to graduate even though I am pregnant and then how there is a high possibility of me getting kicked out and how we had to start taking up part-time jobs for supporting our soon to form family, we decided to go home since it was getting cold.

We both started walking towards the car when he got on his knees, thinking that he wanted to tie his shoes I continued walking.

"Ummmm Livi.............." I turned around to see him kneeling one of his legs down while holding a box.

"Ummm what are u do- Ohhhhh," I said as I stood in front of him.

"OK..UM... wait a min....what do I say?? Ughh I should've rehearsed it. Goddd. Ok, u got this. Look at her face and just tell her. Ok phewwww. Let's not forget anything. Ummmm SOOO....."' He closed his eyes took a deep breath and started " Ölivia. You were one of the most beautiful things that have ever happened to me. You never saw me as an orphan you never gave me time to pity myself when the other kids used to bully me. You always had my back. I remember you punching that Billy from grade two because he bullied me. And standing right beside me when all those guys tried to bully me in high school and I still remember what u said to me when I asked you why you wanted to help me out and that they will get bored of bullying me if I didn't give them the reaction they wanted and that they would leave but then u just stared at me and then punched my face, breaking my already broken nose saying that if I had to conquer life I gotta stand up for myself and be my own Knight in shining armor and as stupid as it sounds, too be honest Liv, you are my knight and I am thankful for that. You were the reason I wanted to move forward every day and now you just gave me another reason and happiness. And I am now holding this ring in front of you to show my gratitude and to ask you if u will continue this path- of " I didn't let him continue as I kneeled down to his level and kissed him, he kissed me back. It was short and sweet. I loved it. " wait I have to finish it." he said as he regained his posture and continued. "So Olivia will u take this opportunity to marry me?? '' he asked as he looked at me like a puppy. I smiled. "Now how can I say no," I said as I hugged him. There was no one to take a picture or no other person to tell this story and we loved it that way. For this memory will last in our hearts and will only be a tale for us to tell. Man for a minute I thought I sounded like Hazel.

Suddenly the whole scenario changed. We both were at a college party, this happened the next night of our engagement. I sat on a stool observing people while drinking my glass of water while he went searching for Taylor. We needed to tell him. It's always been the three of us. Though he's been acting really strangely towards me and though I don't like it he's still family. That's whats my future husband said.

As I sat looking for them. I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around to see Taylor. "Hey, your soul brother was looking for u. Where were u? Didn't u see him? " I asked as I looked behind to see if he was there but to my disappointment, he was not there. Taylor and he were soul brothers, they did anything and everything together. "Yeah he told me to take u up to him..said he had some surprise. " Taylor said. Now, what is the planning? I still can't believe yesterday's surprise. I went up the stairs with Taylor to a room, but as soon as I entered I didn't find him but I heard a lock behind me. I turned around to see Taylor looking up and down to me." Taylor what are you- Open the door right now" I said as I walked to the door only to get slammed on the door by him. "What did u see ?? WHat did u see in him that I didn't have??? Answer me!!! I was always there. I was always there to protect u. You think those guys got scared of you, a girl, when u threatened them for bullying him?? No, it was me. I told them to stay away from u. It was I who protected u, Me who loved you first not him!! Why did u have to go behind him and ruin everything!?" He said as he traced his hands down my body. "Taylor wh- what are u doing?! " I asked as I tried to push him away only to fail. He was a lot stronger than me.

I quickly woke up from my sleep sitting up. It was just a dream. I am ok. Ocean and River are ok. We are safe. Take in deep breaths.

I looked at my phone to see it was 7:00 am. So I woke up and got changed into my work-out clothes. I went jogging around the field.
