I was so shocked when Astral told me her story.

"W-wait-wait! Ayaw nila ng babaeng panganay?!"gulat na turan ko. Sinubo nito ang kinakin nya and chew. She nodded.

"Yes. It's actually a sin in our family kapag babae ang panganay. But eventually they can't throw us dahil dugong Fernandez kami."

Nalaglag ang panga ko at di halos ma-intake sa buong sistema ang sinasabi nya. Napahawak ako sa sentido ko at nawindang dahil may pamilyang ganuon?! I heard a lot about dysfunctional families but never liked this!

"So they hate you?"mahinang sabi ko at tumango ito.

I bite my lip. I want to hug her kung wala lang kami dito sa kainan na to'.

"You're never a sin,Astral."i added to her. She nodded at me.

"Pero bakit ganuon? Ano bang meron kapag lalake ang panganay?"

"My family again is a bunch of stereotypes. They think that man can handle all the problem while girls are damsel in distress."

Napasalubong ang kilay ko at di mapigilang magalit duon. All this time,she's been abused by her family mentally! And i really hate those mentality na dahil babae ay di na kayang tumayo sa sarili nilang paa. Don't expect them to be just a housewife! Iba na ang panahon ngayon!

"That's why they hate me as a whole person. My family's quite interesting right?"she smirked to me. Di ko lubusang maisip na si Astral ay kakaayawan. Malala pa,pamilya nya pa mismo.

And maybe that's why she said back then that her mother hates her.

"Parang ansama naman ata iyon..."malungkot na saad ko. Iniisip na andami nyang pinagdaanan sa mismong pamilya nya.

She chuckled. "Masama naman talaga,toni. But that's our rules. We can't do anything about it until the oldest of our family will change those."

"So ikaw walang magagawa sa ganuon?"

Tumango ito. My eyes widen. "Edi papaano den kapag ayaw mo na? Or nasasakal ka?"

"Then they'll throw us,like they did to me."

Natigilan ako sa sinabi nito. She look at me as if it's interesting that i have more reaction than her!

"Why do you look so calm about it! Wala ka manlang bang ginawa?!"

She look at me as if everything was never normal to her ears. As if throwing her is a normal thing to do when you don't obey your family.

"What are you saying. The moment you want to get out on my family,the moment you're trash to them. That's nothing new to me,that's a thing that im expecting."

Halos tumindig ang balahibo ko sa bawat katagang sinasabi nya. Sobrang lamig,tila walang emosyon at business lang sya sa kanilang pamilya.

Mas lalong bumigat ang pakiramdam ko at di maiwasang masaktan para sa kanya. Maybe because she realized a long time ago. That she'll be alone. That family is never a thing for her. She know her place a long time ago.
