THIRD POV
'Huh? Isn't that...?' Todoroki looks down the hallway in confusion at the figure sitting on the ground with their head in between their knees. 'What's l/n doing here?'

He feels worry start to rise in his chest as he approaches their crouched figure. 'Wait, why am I walking towards them—they don't need my help—even if something is wrong...' Still, something keeps Todoroki from walking away, and he continues to advance towards l/n, his heartbeat quickening as he remembers the brief encounters they'd shared alone—when it seemed as though l/n had helped him in some of the most unlikely ways possible.

Y/N POV
"l/n?"

You startle at the sound of Todoroki's voice and look up to see his face painted with concern. 'Crap—I don't want him to see me sulking—I don't want someone to feel like they need to save me. How can I face him now after realizing how jealous I actually am of those around me?' You quickly put on a smile, trying to hide your expression from earlier. He notices the sudden shift but doesn't say anything about it for your sake.

"What are you doing down here?" He asks as he settles down in the hallway beside you.You smile and shake your head, then say, "oh, nothing really... congratulations on your win, by the way, that must've been tough." You feel a pang in your chest but continue to keep up the facade.

"Oh, yeah" 'how can you say that so nonchalantly?!' you look at him incredulously, then he continues to speak, "Congratulations too—I saw your fight."

Your expression softens as you speak, "thanks, hah... It was mostly Tsuyu and Tokoyami, though—you should really be congratulating them," you smile bittersweetly and look at your hands resting in your lap.

The hallway becomes quiet, 'maybe I shouldn't have said that? Did I ruin his mood from winning or something?'

"l/n"

"Yeah?"

"You should really have more confidence in yourself..." You abruptly turn, surprised by his words, only to find your face mere inches from his. 'When did he get this close... and why is he looking at me like that?' As he stares back at you, you feel heat rise to your cheeks and your heartbeat increasingly rapidly.

You turn your face away from him quickly and manage to say, "y-yeah..." you look at the ceiling of the hallway, then continue to say, "We should probably get going, right?"

"Oh yeah," he watches as you get up from the floor and blinks twice. The two of you walk to the monitor room together, and he starts to wonder why you became flustered earlier.You walk into the monitor room and greet some of your classmates that were already inside, and Todoroki quietly follows behind you. As soon as your classmates notice the timing of yours and Todoroki's entrance—a similar thought runs in all of their minds, "what were they doing together?"

"Hey, l/n!" Kaminari exclaims.

"Oh, hi Kaminari," you turn to look at the screen, "wait, what's happening now?"

"It's Midoriya and Bakugo's turn—I'm really glad I didn't have their opponent." You turn to face Uraraka then watch the screen as Bakugo and Midoriya walk in the street—seemingly arguing with each other.

"What are those two doing?" you murmur under your breath.Iida notices and smiles at you, "they'll figure it out."

"hmph, they better." 'Or else the two that I've admired for so long will fail...' You ignore the slight glimpse of relief you felt at the idea of them failing, convincing yourself that you shouldn't be jealous—after all—close friends shouldn't be jealous of each other.
