'Urarka and Tsuyu?' You feel your body becoming weaker by the second, you slump to the ground slowly, 'I've barely done anything, yet—I can't be done now...' You watch as the ground erupts, and Overhaul, along with Midoriya, jump out of the opening that was created earlier.
The fighting continues as you, Nighteye, and the others are protected by Ryuku. As rubble falls around you while the fight still continues, you feel your consciousness begin to slip. 'I—I barely got injured and this is all it takes...? No, I need to help the others... I thought I was stronger now... I thought I finally had a chance...' With that thought, everything fades to black.
You wake up with a jerk and immediately sit up in bed. You glance around the room, immediately recognizing that you're in a hospital room, a situation you've been very familiar with lately. You place your hand on your head as your thoughts begin to race, wondering what exactly happened after you passed out.
You swing your legs over your bedside, and slowly stand—you pull back the curtain and glance around the room to see that you aren't alone. You try to walk out of the room, but your legs are too weak, and you flop back onto your bed. You place your head into your hands and stare at the ground.
'Everything feels so strange, I can't figure out what it is, but something has happened...' For the rest of the day, you stay in your hospital bed like that. Eventually, Recovery Girl shows up and heals you along with the rest of the students. You learned later about the success and failures of the operation, including Nighteye's death.
The day after the attack, you slowly get dressed and stay seated on your bed, contemplating your actions, 'I wonder if I could have helped more... can I really say that I did the best I could?'
The door to your room slides open, and Midoriya walks inside, "oh—long time no see," you say with a smile as he continues to walk towards you.
"l/n... how are you feeling?"
"Much better," you say, and give him a thumbs up.
"That's good... hey, l/n... why did you try to protect me back there?" 'Try to protect you? C'mon man, you could at least act like I helped a little bit...'
You pause for a little bit, "the whole time we were running down there, I became painfully aware of how much I could actually do. Every time someone left our group, and we kept going... I became more confused as to why I was still there..." you look at him with a smile, "I didn't know why I had made it that far, but for some reason, I felt that you had to keep going."
"l/n... that's—" he glances away, then looks at you and smiles, "thanks."
Midoriya then leaves to visit Mirio, and you finish getting ready and head to the lobby—it is there that you meet Kirishima. The two of you exchange a look of understanding then walk out the doors of the hospital together.
"Midoriya! Are your injuries okay?" Kirishima asks once he spots Midoriya.
"Yeah, I'm fine, thanks," Midoriya answers, and you stare back at him.
"Izuku Midoriya, Eijiro Kirishima, y/n l/n. Sorry to bother you after your discharge, but we'd like you to come with us to the station to answer some questions about the Shie Hassaikai incident." You leave with the police and end up stuck at the station for hours, answering their questions. You end up arriving back at the dorms well after it's dark outside.
While standing in front of the dorms, you meet up with Uraraka and Tsuyu, then all walk through the doors together. Once you walk inside, all of your classmates begin to smother you with attention, exclaiming their worries about your safety. Iida lectures your classmates about giving you some space, but Midoriya assures him that it's fine—and the smothering continues.
