Unexpected Hero (BNHA Various x Reader)

You desperately reach out, trying to push through the crowd so that you don't completely lose sight of your friends, but it's already too late. You are pushed back even farther and look around, trying to find someone you recognize. You see a flash of red and yellow hair that looks very familiar.

"Everyone, stop! Slow down! Slow down!" 'Kaminari and Kirishima—I'm saved!'

You desperately reach out and finally make contact with Kirishima's uniform. You keep a firm hold of the material as you push your way towards them. Finally, you end up in between the two and let out a sigh of relief, not noticing their blushes from how close you all were.

"l/n?" they both say.

"Oh, sorry. I just didn't want to get pushed back even farther, and you guys were the closest people I saw," you finally release Kirishima's sleeve, completely oblivious to the blush on his cheeks.

"It's alright," he replies.

"Yeah, let's stick together!" Kaminari says. You smile at both of them and nod your head. Though as soon as you finish nodding your head, all three of you are pushed back by the surge of students, and once again you disappear into the crowd.

'dammit, what am I supposed to do now?' You feel yourself being pressed up against multiple students having some trouble breathing.

You look up for a brief moment and widen your eyes at what you see. Iida is floating in the air—then he starts doing somersaults using his engines until he finally reaches the top of the exit sign. He is posed exactly like the man found on a typical exit sign.

"Everyone, everything's fine!" Everyone becomes silent, "It is just the media! There is nothing to panic about. Everything's fine! This is U.A. Let us act in a way befitting the best of the best."

Everyone looks at him in silence, then a collective sigh is released, and you smile at him. Soon you hear police sirens from outside, and the news reporters are escorted off the campus—all the students return to their classrooms.

Back in the classroom, you look at Midoriya nervously standing next to Momo in front of the class. 'Come on, Midoriya—you can do it!'

"N-Now, let us decide on the other class officers... But first, can I say something? I think... that Tenya Iida should be the class rep after all! He was able to get everyone's attention in such a cool way. I think it would be best for Iida to do it." You look at Midoriya slightly surprised.

"I'm good with that, too. Midoriya's saying it, and it's true that Iida was a big help at the cafeteria today," Kirishima says with Kaminari continuing, "Yeah, and he kind of looked like the person on the emergency exit signs, didn't he?" You laugh inwardly at this statement.

"You're wasting time. I don't care what you do, just hurry up and do it" Mr. Aizawa says while Iida stands up.

"If the class rep has nominated me, then it cannot be helped. From this day forth, I, Tenya Iida, promise to do my best to carry out the duties of class representative." The rest of your classmates all congratulate Iida after his statement.

As the clock reaches 1pm Mr. Aizawa starts speaking, "For today's hero basic training, it's been turned into a class with three instructors, All Might and me, and one more person."The class looks around at each other curious as to what might've caused this change when Sero asks, "Excuse me! What'll we be doing?"

"Disasters, shipwrecks, and everything in between. It's rescue training." The class talks to each other in excitement. "Hey, I'm not done. You can decide now if you want to wear your costume or not this time. Because there are probably costumes that limit your abilities, too. The training will take place off-campus, so we're taking a bus. That is all. Start getting ready." As soon as Mr. Aizawa finished his statement, you get up with the rest of your classmates to get changed.

When you're standing outside, you and Uraraka walk up to Midoriya while Uraraka says, "Oh, you're wearing your P.E. clothes. Where's your costume?" Midoriya explains that it got ripped during the combat training and that he's waiting for it to be fixed.

You hear a whistle blowing, and all three of you turn your heads to find Iida standing in front of the bus. "Class 1-A, gather round!" he starts explaining how we should board the bus in a very serious manner.

'He's taking his new position as class rep very seriously...'

On the bus, you're seated in between Mina and Aoyama. You look as Iida looks defeated by his miscalculation on the type of bus they would be using and stifle a laugh.

Tsuyu turns to Midoriya and says, "Your quirk is like All Might's." Midoriya suddenly becomes very flustered, "Huh?! Y-Y-You think so?"

'That's a weird reaction, but now that I think about it, maybe Tsuyu has a point...'

You turn your attention back to the conversation to hear Aoyama say, "My navel laser is pro-level in both flashiness and strength. You laugh as Mina replies, "But it's not great that it gives you a stomachache," then immediately cover your mouth. 'So blunt.'

"Well, if you're talking about flashy and strong, it's gotta be Todoroki and Bakugo, though, huh?" Kirishima says, which gets Bakugo's attention.

"Bakugo's always mad, so he doesn't seem like he'll be popular, though." You giggle then quickly stop when Bakugo stands from his seat saying, "What the hell! You wanna fight!"

"We haven't known each other very long, so it's amazing that everyone already knows his personality is crap steeped in sewage." Kaminari continues.

At this point, you couldn't hold it in any longer and burst out laughing, completely ignoring how angry Bakugo has become and that some of your classmates were blushing at your giggles.

"We're here. Stop messing around."

"Yes, sir!" you all reply to Mr. Aizawa.

Once you step outside of the bus, you see the pro-hero Thirteen standing there, "Everyone, I have been waiting for you. Let's go inside without delay." You follow Thirteen into the dome-shaped building.

'I wonder what it would be like to hug Thirteen.. such a big spacesuit...'Inside, you see different areas sectioned off as different environments. "Wow, it looks like Universal Studios Japan!" There is a shipwreck, a landslide, a fire, a windstorm zone, and more.

"It is a training ground that I made with different types of accidents and disasters. It's called the "Unforeseen Simulation Joint", or "USJ" for short!" Thirteen announces excitedly. Mr. Aizawa then asks Thirteen where All Might was—their voices drop to a whisper so you can't hear the answer.

"It can't be helped. Shall we begin?" Mr. Aizawa says.

Thirteen soon starts talking about how some things need to be discussed before we can begin. "Everyone, I am sure you are aware of my quirk, Black hole. I can suck up anything and turn it to dust—But it is a power that can kill easily. Some of you also have quirks like that, right?"

You look down at your hands, your injuries have healed, but you still remember the immense pain you experienced. 'Sure, my quirk can create pain, but it's only been inflicted onto myself so far... I'm sure I could hurt other people, but that hasn't happened yet.'

You turn your attention back towards Thirteen, "However, please do not forget that there are many quirks that can easily kill with one wrong step..." they continue to speak, "You shall learn how to use your quirks to save people's lives. You do not have powers so that you can harm others. I hope you leave here with the understanding that you have powers in order to help others. That is all. Thank you for listening."

Everyone shouts out their praise for Thirteen's speech. "All right then, first—" Mr. Aizawa is cut off as electricity crackles around the lights, shutting them off, and then the fountain in the center starts to change shape. A dark purple spiral forms in front of the fountain, and you see what looks like a man covered in many severed hands looking towards your class from inside the warp.

'Why does he look like that? Is he smiling from behind that hand?'

"Gather together and don't move! Thirteen, protect the students!" Mr. Aizawa shouts.You watch as more people climb out of the purple space wearing costumes. "Is this like the entrance exam where the lesson's already started?"

"Don't move!" Mr. Aizawa shouts as Kirishima starts to take a step forward. He puts on his goggles, "Those are villains."
