'Maybe I should've waited for Iida, or maybe I shouldn't have left at all... But also Midoriya would be alone, and Iida is with our other classmates—I'm pretty sure only Midoriya would be reckless enough to go on his own... Well, I guess I am too, but that doesn't matter.'
You continue sprinting through the forest, occasionally glancing in different directions to make sure you won't run into any villains, 'Maybe I should've followed Mr. Aizawa... but he had already disappeared by the time I left Iida and the others. That's a pro hero for you, I guess...' As you continue to run, you notice your surroundings becoming increasingly darker. You glance up above you and realize the sky is barely visible, the foliage becoming thicker as you continue. 'Wait, am I going the wrong way? After all—aren't the trees supposed to thin out the closer you get to a mountain?' You slow down to a stop and crouch, with your hands on your knees, trying to catch your breath.
You look at your surroundings, trying to let your eyes adjust to the scenery—your breath hitches in your throat once you realize that you're not alone. 'Who is that? A school uniform? Is she a student? But I don't recognize her...' You continue to stare at her back, which appears to be equipped with some sort of tanks. Your eyes trail down to her arms, and you feel your heartbeat begin to increase once you realize she's gripping a knife.
'I can't fight with someone—I need to get out of here.' Thankfully, she seemed to be watching something intently in front of her, so you decided your best course of action would be to hide then continue running. You start to back up slowly. 'Wait, but if she's a villain and I'm training to be a hero, shouldn't I try to do something about her?' You take another step and think back to the situation with Stain. 'But isn't being a hero also about working together?' You take some more steps.
'But I can't just let her go... What if she ends up taking someone by surprise—after all, if I attack her now, I would have the upper hand.' You stop backing up and look down at your bandaged hands. 'No... I might get in trouble if I fight... I couldn't fight someone in my condition... I'll just have to—' You take another step backward and end up slipping slightly on the dirt. Your leg rushes out to the side, and you stop yourself from falling by placing your hands on the ground to support you. You let out a breath of relief that you barely made any noise.
You glance upwards to look for the villain and feel your stomach drop as a knife comes slashing towards your face. You immediately stumble backward. She giggles slightly then attacks again, swinging her knife at you. You were being cornered as you kept stumbling backward, and she kept advancing. Eventually, you end up on your back in a turtle-like manner. There seems to be a momentary pause in her attacks, and you quickly devise a plan.
She lunges at you—the knife pointed at your shoulder—you twist and let her graze you—you then grab her shoulder and pull her closer towards you. "You're cute," she says, her face now mere inches from yours, and you stare back at her in shock. 'Is she... blushing?' You then open your mouth suddenly and release a minimal flash of light. She immediately rears back, and you shove her away, then begin to run, trying to put as much distance between you and her as possible.
While running, you rub your throat slightly, 'I wasn't able to use my hands, but I've never used my mouth before—it makes sense that I wasn't able to use as much light, it's pretty dark out, and it's not like I open my mouth to get sunlight in. Whereas my hands are constantly exposed to light.' You slightly laugh as you continue running, then stop after you realize how much damage you caused your throat. 'Maybe that wasn't the best idea... I'm gonna need a cough drop or something...'
You continue your trek through the woods, suddenly you hear some rustling, and you immediately stop and prepare for another battle. You face the direction of the noise, ready to release a flash when Midoriya pops out, looking disheveled and with a broken arm. You feel your body relax and release the breath you didn't know you had been holding.
