Last night when you got home, your parents bombarded you with questions. You tried to answer them as best as you could and reassure your parents at the same time, but all you could think about were the events of that day. It also didn't help that you were extremely tired, and your hand was still burning a little bit from your injuries.

You ease yourself down into the seat of your desk and open the drawer looking for supplies to help with your burns, that you now keep everywhere. You finally grab the bottle of aloe vera and start to open it when you look down at your hand and wonder if the gel was going to actually help in this situation.

You decide against the treatment for now and get ready to take a shower. While in the shower, you notice that some other parts of your body were slightly burnt.

'How did I not notice this? I mean, it isn't that painful, but still, ugh sometimes I'm such an idiot.'

As you inspect the damage, you start thinking about how some of your other classmates had worse injuries—more specifically Midoriya. 'What kind of stuff was going on that caused him to become that injured? And why did Cementoss stop us from going over to help him? Why was Midoriya one of the only students really injured? I know that Todoroki, Bakugo, and Kirishima were all there... Is Midoriya that weak, or is his quirk too strong? AUGH! I wish I could just ask these questions and get some answers.'

You step into your bedroom after your cold shower and once again sit at your desk. This time you decide to wrap your hand in some bandages and use the aloe vera on the other parts of your body. 'And what was up with Bakugo too? I might not have shown it, but when he confronted me, I was kind of scared. Why is he so obsessed with Midoriya and his sudden quirk appearance? Yeah, it's really weird, but I'm happy for Midoriya, and I'm sure sudden appearances of quirks have happened in the past right? It can't be unheard of...'

You pull out your phone, suddenly curious, and try to find out if any quirks developed past the age of four, but your search doesn't yield any results. You sigh out of frustration and toss your phone on your bed. You start to lean back in your chair when you suddenly make eye contact with the piece of paper taped on your wall.

'Can I still use this as my reasoning for becoming a hero? I already know I'm way behind compared to my other classmates. All of them were able to fight so well today, and the best I could do was create some flashes of light—I did manifest a laser, but that basically burned a hole in my hand...' you chuckle to yourself, glancing at your bandaged hand.

You take the piece of paper down from the wall and pull out a pencil, tapping it on your face as you continue to think about your classmates. 'Why I want to become a hero? I don't even know why my classmates are becoming heroes. I just thought it was because some people have something prewired in them that makes them protect others—like Midoriya, or maybe they really want to become the best—like Bakugo, or they might even have someone that inspires them—like Iida. How can I continue to be in the same class as them and still only give 50% of my efforts? I just need someone to tell me why I should become a hero. Although, I know that won't give me the answer I'm looking for...'

You continue to stare at the paper on your desk—trying to avoid looking at anything else, hoping that something will come to your mind eventually, but your brain is empty. You inhale slowly and then let out a frustrated huff. 'Why is this so hard?!' You lean closer towards the desk, hoping the proximity might get something going. After what seems to be an eternity of leaning over your desk, you become even more frustrated and grab the paper suddenly. You watch as it becomes a crumpled ball in your fists and toss it onto the ground. You turn off the lights and jump into bed, pulling the covers over your head, trying to ignore the crumpled ball on the floor of your room, and slowly fall asleep with a worried expression.
