Unexpected Hero (BNHA Various x Reader)

You and Midoriya meet your classmates breathlessly at 11:13, barely making it on time. "I almost thought you weren't going to make it l/n!" Mina says cheerfully.

"Oh, is that Deku?" Uraraka suddenly pops up in front of you then looks down to see the two of you with your hands interlocked.

You notice the sudden shift in her gaze and quickly release Midoriya's hand, then clear your throat, "so should we go inside?"

"Sure!" Mina casually places her arm around your shoulder and leads you inside, with the rest of the group following behind closely. Eventually, you find yourself sitting on a couch in between Uraraka and Midoriya, with Mina already trying to decide on a song, and Aoyama has strangely disappeared.

Each of you takes turns singing—even Aoyama joins in at one point for a song. At some point, you decide to stand outside for a break.

You look down at your phone and see that an hour has already passed. You listen outside the door to what sounds like Mina trying to convince Midoriya to sing with her and him becoming increasingly more flustered as he can't seem to find a way out of it.

You let out a small laugh and open up your phone again and start typing out a message.'hey, Iida—just making sure ur doing ok...' After rereading it a couple more times, you hit send and put your phone away.

Just as you're about to go back inside, you feel your phone buzz—when you pull it out—instead of a message from Iida, there is a message from the unknown number.

'Hitoshi Shinsou'

'how did you get my number??' a few moments pass, then you get another response.

'I found it after the sports festival' 'wait... stupid Kaminari—this is weird— why is Shinsou texting me and why would he take that paper?'

"l/n, whatcha looking at?" You whip your head around to face Midoriya, who suddenly appeared next to you.

"Oh, uh, nothing really," you nervously fumble, trying to tuck your phone back into your pocket, and Midoriya watches you the whole time—not uttering a single word.

"Hey, l/n?"

"Yeah?" You smile at him.

"I'm really glad you invited me...and I—"

"Of course! Why wouldn't I invite you," you speak suddenly, not realizing that you had cut him off. He opens his mouth once again as if he's about to speak, but then just smiles at you, slightly blushing.

Both of you continue to stand outside of the room in silence—it was calm and comfortable. You were completely unaware that Midoriya's heartbeat was rapidly increasing the longer he spent standing next to you.

"Hey guys," Tsuyu pops her head around the door, "you wanna get something to eat?" Both of you stiffen slightly at the sudden appearance of your classmate, but you nod your head smiling.

You, along with your classmates, leave the building and walk around outside, trying to find somewhere to eat—laughing and joking with each other the whole time. Aoyama suddenly appears next to you after being missing for almost 30 minutes.

"Where were you?"

"It's a secret," he winks, and you look at him confused, then shrug your shoulders and continue walking with your friends.

Eventually, you all decide on a restaurant, and you sit down at a booth sandwiched between Aoyama and Tsuyu. You look down at your phone to see if Iida had responded yet and find nothing—instead, you see a message from Kirishima.
