Part 4

We stay at the building and my dad is talking to Secretary Ross again. Steve and Sam escaped the building with a guy named James Barnes.

"I don't suppose you have any idea where they are?" Secretary Ross asked my dad.

"We will," my dad replied. "GSG-9's got the borders covered. Recon's flying 24/7. They'll get a hit. We'll handle it."

"You don't get it, Stark. It's not yours to handle. It's clear you can't be objective. I'm putting Special Ops on this."

"What happens when the shooting starts? What, do you kill Steve Rogers?" Natasha enters the chat.

"If we provoked. Barnes would've been eliminated in Romania if it wasn't for Rogers. There are dead people who would be alive now. Feel free to check my math," Secretary Ross argues.

"All due respect," my dad starts, "you're not going to solve this with boys in bullets, Ross. You gotta let us bring them in."

"How would that end any differently from the last time?"

"Because this time, I won't be wearing loafers and a silk shirt. 72 hours, guaranteed."

"36 hours. Barnes. Rogers. Wilson." Secretary Ross leaves the room.

"Thank you sir," my dad says before he does.
"My left arm is numb, is that normal?"

"Dad.." I say, hoping he was joking.

"You alright?" Nat asks him.

He replies, "Always. 36 hours, jeez."

"We're seriously understaffed," Nat says. We all knew she was right.

"Oh yeah. It'd be great if we had a Hulk right about how. Any shot?"

Natasha looks at him, "No. You really think he'd be on our side?"

"No."

"I have an idea," Natasha says.

"Me too. Where's yours?" My dad asks.

"Downstairs. Where's yours?"

My dad looks at me and smiles slightly.
"I need to go. And I need you to stay here with Natasha. Please." My dad says to me.

"Ok," I reply. He hugs me and kisses my forehead.

"I love you, Callie." He says before he leaves.

"Love you too," I say as he walks out the door. I turn around and see Natasha looking at me. She has a smile on her face. She opens her arms and I run to give her a bigger hug this time. We let go and sit down.

"Eventful last few days, huh?" She asks. I little chuckle escapes my mouth as I nod my head. "I heard about the alleyway laboratory. Your dad told me." I nod my head at that too.

"Yeah. I bet he did." I reply and we smile at each other.

"What powers do you have?"

"Invisibility, healing, telekinesis, and quantum reach."
Nat is in shock, "Quantum reach? That's so cool!" I nod my head.

Natasha and I talk for a few more hours and then T'Challa shows. Soon enough, we all get ready in our suits go to the airport. All of us are hiding, waiting for our entrance. I'm waiting with Natasha. My dad and Rhodey wait for Steve and once they see him, they drop down infront of him. Steve looks up at them.

"Wow, it's so weird how you run into people at the airport. Don't you think that's weird?" My dad turns to Rhodey.

"Definitely weird," he replies.
