Elena POV
I took one long deep breath as I looked at my newly emptier room. Not completely empty, but pretty empty. My mom and my aunt were able to get me enrolled into Auradon Prep a few days ago, and the day where I finally set off into a new world has begun, wish me luck.
I'm a little nervous now that the day has come, thinking about what the people are like and such is one thing but I'm a little worried about... well, my powers. Mom did bring up a good point, if I have an outburst she won't be there to help me and I'd hate to accidentally hurt someone and all, but I'm determined to make this work! I'll have my gloves on the whole time, simple as that right? Yeah... simple as that.
I straightened out my skirt a little and kept my special bag of keepsakes securely in my arms, in there I had put my most prized possessions like jewelry and any sort of memento I wished to bring with me. I already said goodbye to little Bruni today, the poor little guy was so sad but left a while ago, I sure wish I could take him with me. I'm really gonna miss the little guy, Gale and Nokk can follow me with ease because well one is wind and one is water, but it's a lot harder for Bruni.
I put a cap on my head as it's a little brisk out today before I sat down on the edge of my bed and began putting my shoes on. Well, it's more than brisk, but I don't feel it that much. I'll still wear warm clothes when it's chilly out because it's nice and cozy, but I've never felt freezing cold. Also, doesn't it look a little silly to wear the wrong clothes for the wrong temperatures? I was dressing for Arendelle weather but I know Auradon is quite warm so hopefully, this is a happy in between. I stood up after zipping up my shoes and walked over to my full-length mirror to look into my reflection. I chose a white fur-trimmed light blue dress with a small bow in the front and some white shoes with the same fur trim, similar bows on there as well.
I straightened out my hair a little and made sure it was sitting on my shoulders nicely before trotting over to my vanity and touching up my makeup one last time before packing it up and putting that away as well. The whole time I could only think of all the possible things I could see or do once I get into Auradon, I wonder what it's like? I've never seen it and have only heard about Auradon Prep so what else is it about? I'm thoroughly intrigued that's for sure!
Three solid knocks interrupted my daydreaming, my eyes shot over to my door as the last knock came. I excitedly trotted over to my door and slowly opened it to see my mother with some guards at her sides,
"Oh Elle, don't you look like a refined young woman"
My mother gushed as I let them in, the guards going right for my bags and picking them up to take down to the carriage. I watched them carefully as they took my luggage away, keeping my navy blue keepsake pouch bag of goodies close to me as they did,
"Thanks mom, I'm a little nervous"
I admitted, my mom chuckled and put one of her hands on each of my shoulders for comfort,
"You'll be alright honey, is it about having an outburst?"
I sighed and lightly nodded. The worry is valid for me, I've had an outburst before, and trust me, I don't wanna go through one of those without my mom there. But eventually you have to grow up and learn how to deal with that on your own right?
"You'll be alright, you have more control than I did when I was your age. Besides, you know how to control your emotions a little more than even I do still to this day"
I got my smile and a bit of my confidence back. If my mom thinks I'll be okay then I should be okay, right? Yeah... I'll be fine...
I snapped myself out of my questionable thoughts and snuggled with my bag for a moment before hearing the jingles of the carriage from outside,
