Third POV

Harry's eyes widened in panic and ran to Elena's side and essentially threw himself onto the ground beside the crying, shivering, freezing girl. He looked over her and looked on in shock as he saw the frost just creeping over her cheeks, her hands shivered as the frost was progressing to ice just at her fingertips, actively making it impossible for anything frozen to move.

Harry suddenly grabbed Elena and pulled her right into him to hold her as close to him as possible as she shivered and shook. Harry immediately began to rub Elena's arms and entire body to create friction and heat, but alas there was no slowing the progress of freezing that way. Harry didn't care that the cold was beginning to bite him too, all he cared about was slowing the freezing process for Elena as his fingertips began to frost over,

"Elena?! Good gods Ellie... oh gods oh gods..."

Harry rambled in shock and horror while she had seemed surprised when she was picked up and suddenly was cradled ever so lovingly. She was also surprised to feel Harry's hands running all over her to try to warm her up as best as he could. She was most surprised, however, when she looked up and saw Harry there which gave her so much relief and reminded her that she wasn't alone, she never has been,

"H-Harry... y-you c-c-came af-after m-me"

Elena smiled a little bit as the tears that had streamed down her cheeks began to freeze as well. She thought she was a goner before, she heard Harry say multiple times that he didn't want to go into Ahtohallan, but here he is. He's right here, just for her. Harry didn't know what to do, so he thought back to the lullaby for some form of answer as that was the only thing he could go off of. The word "drown" was the only one he could think of, it was repeating over and over. His mind was moving at a thousand miles per hour as he began to see the frost crawl up his hands,

"What do I do dammit?! Drown... drown.... what do ya do when someone's drowning? Get them out of the water first thing.... shit I gotta move!"

Harry suddenly stood up with Elena in his arms and frantically ran up the stairs out of the dark abyss as quickly as possible with a shivering Elena in his arms, he held her as close to him as he possibly could to allow any body heat he had to be shared with her. Elena was shakily able to grab onto Harry by wrapping her stiff, frosted, and nearly frozen arms around his neck and instinctively put her face into the warm crook of his neck to find any sort of warmth. For once it was what she genuinely longed for, even yearned for, warmth.

Harry tilted his head over to do his best to give Elena a pocket of warmth from him, even though the frost had quickly crawled up his arms he was more than willing to give up some of his warmth to her, all of it if he had to. Harry had never run faster in his life, up the stairs and into the giant room of memory he looked around in shock as he was forced to pause mid-way from the fog suddenly whipping around the room again, getting rid of Harry's gruesome memories that he had destroyed regardless.

Harry held Elena closer as the fog was cold itself and was forced to wait it out. Elena peeked out of the pocket of warmth Harry had made for her just as the fog settled, replacing Harry's memories with ones that both the individuals had in common. Elena's teeth chattered ever so slightly and her lashes were frosted over, but the two were quickly taken by shock as now that the two of them were in the room of memory together, only memories containing the two of them or referenced one of them were formed.

In one of the corners was the moment Elena and Harry met when he had quickly spun around the salon chair to look at her back on the Isle, there was the moment Elena comforted Harry with one of his first hugs, there was Elena taking care of Harry's back once he was in safety, there was the moment Elena saved him from Uma at the cotillion, there was their moment at the piano together, there was Elena showing Harry what winter and snow looked like, and there was even the moment Harry saved Elena from captivity, now Elena could see for herself how he did it. She watched him take his sword and boldly slash down all the ropes that bound her to the pole first, then the ones around her wrist and the bandana, then he took her and escorted her to safety himself.
