TW: Overall toxic behavior (and maybe a mention of an eating disorder, but more like pure body shaming, better to be safe than sorry when it comes to trigger warnings), but nothing too bad (hopefully) Viewer discresion is advised, tread with caution if you think the mention of this sort of thing may be triggering, that's the last thing we want to do :)

*Welcome to the final sneak peek of my upcoming story!*

Arlette POV

Goodness me, taking those few minutes to just lay down for a nap was so worth it. I shut my phone completely off and knocked out for about an hour or so, and now I actually feel like I can take on the day. So I slowly sat up and swung my legs over my bed, taking a good moment to yawn and stretch before I straightened out my dress and reached over to my bedside table to grab my phone and power it up again. While I waited for that I stretched a bit more and cracked my knuckles some, hearing my phone buzz as it finally booted up again I picked it up as it suddenly began blowing up with dings and buzzes.

I sighed and looked at my notifications, my eyes widening as I saw over thirty messages from the person with "my charming" as his contact name, I furrowed my brow and opened his texts to see... oh my he's been spamming me all hour! I looked through them all, seeing that he's been trying to contact me all this time with texts ranging from his sweet "baby where are you?" all the way to "babe seriously, are you ignoring me right now or something?". I immediately tensed up and went right to trying to call him back so he wouldn't be worried for much longer as he truly sounded worried in his voicemails and his texts! The phone only rang once before he picked it up,

"Babe where the hell have you been? Have you been getting my texts?"

He asked with a stern tone, I sighed and got up from bed and began putting on my shoes as I spoke, feeling bad for possibly worrying him I immediately apologized,

"Sorry Chad, I just fell asleep and turned my phone off for an hour, I didn't mean to worry you-"

"Oh, so you turned your phone off? So you wanted to be left alone? You should've told me Lettie, you know what? Just... just meet me in the courtyard in five, and be there in five"

He sternly spoke as he cut me off, I opened my mouth to speak again but he just hung up on me.... great, of course I can't even go to sleep without messing something up. Only I could mess up in my sleep I tell you! Now he's mad at me I can feel it... well I better not keep him waiting again, that'll just make him worse. I quickly put my shoes on the rest of the way and stood up and ran to the mirror, quickly fixing my hair up and making sure I looked nice before bolting out the door as normally as I could without messing up my hair or anything. I took a deep breath as I walked with great haste to the courtyard, trying to get there in five minutes as to not upset him...

I walked as quickly as I could without tripping or messing up my hair, my mind racing with negative thoughts as I worried and worried about Chad being cross with me, that alone fueled my step and only made me walk faster. Soon enough I entered the courtyard and frantically looked around for a moment until I saw him, pacing up and down Chad slowly sauntered. I took a deep breath and quickly straightened my hair out again before quickly walking that way, my heels clicking on the stone path as I walked that way. Chad casually looked my way before suddenly locking eyes on me and marching my way as soon as he registered that it was me,

"There you are, gods you took your time"

But I got as quickly as I could! I swear it hasn't even been five minutes, regardless I made my way over to him as he met me in the middle,

"I'm sorry for not telling you I was turning my phone off honey, I just was so tired I couldn't function anymore"

Chad tilted his head a bit, his floppy blonde hair flopping around as he moved. I looked down a bit as I felt his hand brush over mine a bit,
