Third Person

Elena brightly smiled at her own reflection as she did some little spins with her cotillion look on. Evie had made plenty of adjustments to the dress from what she was originally thinking to suit Elena better, and now she's very happy with the dress Evie had tailored to her. Besides Evie nearly crushing Elena's ribs with the corset again, Elena was content with her look.

Evie made Elena a sparkling light blue gown that contoured to her body perfectly. A tulle train of sorts stemmed from her skirt and gave her a beautiful silhouette of a slight flare to the otherwise form-fitted dress. It had a light plunging neckline and thin straps over her shoulders, her feet were barely visible but she was wearing classic low chunky heel shoes with a single strap around her ankles. Her favorite part of the outfit was the bow Evie put in her hair, Evie didn't even know how much the sash meant to Elena but Elena loved how she did up a double bow in her hair. The top layer of her hair was tied up by the double bow made from Harry's red sash and the rest of it was neatly curled to perfection. The last and finishing touch of her look were the elegant white lace gloves simply as a just-in-case measure.

Elena twirled in the mirror's reflection and played with the tulle of her dress as Evie tuned up Mal's look last minute. Mal giggled a little as she saw Elena simply messing around with her dress,

"I don't think Elle is excited enough for tonight"

Mal quietly spoke to Evie who simply giggled and nodded,

"Oh yeah, not giddy at all"

Elena happily hummed a tune and spun around a few times, Evie and Mal only giggled more at their happy friend as Mal spoke even quieter,

"Do you think Jay's going to try to ask her out tonight again?"

Evie looked back over to Mal and messed with her hair some to get it laying how Evie liked best,

"Oh for sure, he may have been a stuttering mess earlier but he's too determined to give up now. He just needs to figure out how to word it so Elena will know what he means"

Evie spoke with a little giggle, Mal only giggled with her as the two girls found Jay's fondness towards Elena funny to witness, it's the only time the rather cocky male gets brought back down to earth. Elena hopped and skipped over to her friends as they finally wrapped up the future Lady Mal's details,

"Alright, Elena you're with me. Mal gets to be escorted via guards for her grand entrance. They'll be here to pick you up soon right?"

Mal nodded once and picked up her massive blue and yellow skirt to properly sit on her bedside,

"Yeah, you two can go ahead of me I don't mind"

Elena excitedly squeaked and looked over to Evie with her puppy dog eyes, wanting to get to the cotillion sooner rather than later. Evie chuckled and walked over to Elena and swung an arm around her shoulder,

"Will do, text us if you need anything yeah? And remember, deep breaths"

Mal chuckled and took one deep breath with a nod. Evie proceeded to walk with a very springy Elena to the door. Elena and Evie said their goodbyes to their dear friend and went ahead and began their walk to the cotillion.

The sky was turning dark as dusk fell, the stars, moon, and the lights of the party lit up the warm night and gave a sort of ethereal feel to the already magical night. Excited chatter was heard from all around as some of the students had pure good teenage fun around the front yard of Auradon Prep. A complete contrast from the rowdy teens were the uptight royal guards that bordered the walkway to the red carpet.
