Cold Hearted

It's been a few weeks since my rollercoaster of a seventeenth birthday, but I still think about it daily. I mean come on! How couldn't I? It was absolutely magnificent in every wonderful way! Going through the first half of the day thinking I had been forgotten hurt in the moment, but now that I look back at it it's obvious that Harry was up to something. Leaving so early in the morning? Talking to the other VKs willingly and making sure they didn't talk around me? Disappearing at random times and not spending a lot of time with me? He was planning the entire party the whole time!

I wrote mama about it and she absolutely gushed about how wonderful that was, she said it was one of the sweetest things she had heard of in a long time! Well, mainly because of Harry's gift to me. I absolutely adore that compass, I keep it nice and safe unless I'm actively using it which I do when Harry and I go on walks and such so I can start learning how to navigate with it and such! He's of course helped a lot with that!

I'm in between classes at the moment, so I decided to go just be with nature for a bit as I do every so often to stay connected and such. Harry's back in the dorm at the moment studying for a history test he has in his "History of Pirates and Woodsmen" class that he enjoys quite a bit, that's one of the only classes he willingly puts a lot of effort into at that. I don't blame him, seeing as he's a pirate and he gets to learn about pirates and all! So I casually walked off the main path around Auradon Prep and simply wandered a bit through a few layers of trees into the forest, not too far but just far enough to where the building wasn't visible.

I took a deep breath of the fresh air and simply closed my eyes as I drew myself to a slow halt, already feeling more in tune with everything which significantly calmed me down right off the bat. I allowed my hands to fall to my sides, tilting my head up a bit I just let my mind go blank. It's a sort of meditation I'm sure, but in my case, I'll know when I'm in tune enough from a little rush of energy I get that runs from my feet all the way up my body. It sounds weird I know, but trust me it is super invigorating for me to do once and a while!

After a few moments, maybe minutes I'm not entirely sure, I felt it. A shivering rush of energy ran right up my body and right with it a gust of wind that quickly spiraled around me, causing me to giggle a bit as I felt the wind dance around me to a point. I felt the little buzzing feeling that comes next when the elemental energy begins to concentrate itself around me... I'm not sure what that means either, the trolls back in Arendelle told me something about me being a beacon of elemental energy and that's always how it's been described to me so who knows!

So as I began to feel the buzz, I simply attempted to hold it for as long as possible. A sort of concentration that isn't exactly easy to get to, but of course I've been at this my whole life so I'm rather good at it to this point. I slowly began to kneel down, keeping my concentration steady as I gently laid my hands on the ground, immediately feeling the lift of the earth beneath me responding to my touch. It's so hard to explain all this, but it essentially feels as if I'm being grounded and lifted up at the same time!

I was doing super well for a good while, I was able to feel the energy circulating around me and through me for a super long time due to my increased concentration that I was achieving somehow! That was all until I got the wind to blow a tight circle around me, the leaves picked up as a distinct spiral came around me and I heard a light gasp, leading to my concentration being completely broken and everything stopping rather promptly by dispersing.

My eyes shot open and I quickly stood back up and looked around for the source of the gasp, but nothing off seemed to be there! I furrowed my brow and just continued to slowly scan the area until Gale itself whistled on by and flew behind one of the trees bordering the area, then suddenly out shoved... Audrey from behind one of the trees? Gale pushed... Audrey out from behind one of the trees... and she looks horrified?
