Elena POV"Evie? Can we talk?"
I shyly spoke as I peeked into her room where she was working alone for today. I had just gotten back from Harry and I's outing... the one where I think I realized a really good, but also kinda scary thing that I know I have to talk to Evie about.
Evie looked at me and gave me a bright smile and waved her hand at me as a signal to come in which I eagerly did. Harry said he had to go talk to Doug about some notes in science so I have some guaranteed alone time with Evie which will be great for me to figure out what's going on,
"What's up Elle?"
I gently shut the door behind me and walked over to Evie rather slowly, shyly looking at my feet a little as I did,
"I'm in an emotional predicament and I need help understanding and you're emotionally smart so help me please"
I casually pleaded as I went over to her and looked up again, fiddling with my fingers as I did. Evie "ooed" and trotted towards me and put her hands on my shoulders,
"Oh yeah? Tell me whatcha got girl!"
She lead me over to her bed and sat me down on the side and sat next to me as she grabbed my hand for support. I sighed and looked at her for a few moments before speaking,
"Remember when we had that talk about crushes? Like how we're supposed to feel and the butterflies and the blushing and stuff?"
Evie tilted her head a little and nodded some with a smile that had newly grown on her lips,
"Yeah, let me guess... you're feeling that for someone aren't you?"
I sighed and nodded a little bit, Evie promptly squealed and practically made me jump out of my skin, literally I nearly accidentally shot ice out of my free hand,
"I knew it! I knew it I knew it I knew it! Mal owes me a hundred bucks!"
Oh, gee they made a bet about this?! I immediately felt all embarrassed all over again and sighed,
"Gambling isn't good Evie! Anyway... yeah and I don't know what to do... I've never..... never felt this way about anyone before and it's a little scary"
Evie sighed and scooted a little closer to me and took my other hand for extra support. She gave me a warm smile and giggled a little,
"That's the fun of it Elle, and if the person feels the same way about you then it can be the start of something beautiful! I'm just glad you've fallen for someone~ Now may I ask who it is?"
I stared at her for a few moments before I awkwardly began looking around, do I tell her? I mean... of course I do what else am I supposed to do? Also... there's such thing as the person you have a crush on not feeling the same way?
"Uhm... please don't make fun of me.... Harry"
I muttered, but she had leaned in close enough to hear me, she paused before slowly lighting up into a toothy grin,
"Well... I'm not entirely surprised, it's been kinda obvious since well... you two kinda look and sound like a couple more than you'd think you do, I'm happy for you!"
Oh... that was not what I expected, not at all! I tilted my head at her and furrowed my brow a little bit in confusion. What if I'm the only person who didn't see that earlier?
"Huh? What do you mean?"
"Elle, hand-holding, random hugs, constant following each other around for no reason besides wanting to stay together, Harry making it very obvious that he hates Jay with a passion because Jay has a crush on you, both of you being overprotective of each other, Harry doing everything possible to impress you, you going out of your way to accommodate his sometimes difficult needs, constantly comforting him, both of you get happier around the other, Elena... you see what I see?"
