Elena POV
I happily skipped through the halls to get back to the dorm for the night. It's been a few weeks or so since cotillion and Harry's been integrating in quite alright! I guess it's been easy because Ben matched up his classes with mine so I see him all the time. However today I took a little break and hung out with Mal and Evie to get some girl time so Harry's been chilling in the dorm by himself. Oh! And since we've been living there for a little while now we did some little improvements to the dorm, rearranged dorm furniture but most importantly we got a tv and a couch in there so it's actually cool to hang out in! I kinda wanna watch a movie tonight too, I wonder if Harry wants to watch it with me? That would be fun, have a little movie night or something.
I trotted up to my dorm room door and whipped out my key and swiftly unlocked the door. I stepped on in and spotted Harry polishing his hook on his bed, he looked up at me and began to smile,
"'Ello there doe eyes, how was yer afternoon?"
I blossomed into a smile as I always love it when someone asks me how my day was, it makes me feel cared about. I gently shut the door behind me and trotted over to my bed where Bruni was sleeping on my pillow as always,
"Oh it was good! Nothing like some girl time to have a few good laughs"
Harry hummed as I put my things away and gave Bruni some snow on my nightstand. He began to stir and very quickly hopped on over to my nightstand as he saw the snow pile,
"Good laughs eh? What sort of good laughs?"
I giggled a little as I recollected what we had talked about. I'll be honest, we talked about basic teenage girl things. I didn't even know what "basic teenage girl" things were until I met Evie and Mal. They were just asking me a lot of questions about any possible, what they called "crushes" which apparently means someone you like romantically. It was so silly, but I had a good time! I looked back over to Harry after some giggly recollection,
"Just girl stuff, purely silly stuff to be honest"
I said with a light giggle. Harry hummed again and watched as I took off my shoes and such, I let my hair down from the high ponytail the red sash was holding it in and neatly folded the sash up and put it in my bedside drawer. I still like having the sash with me, it's just comforting at this point. I ruffled my hair up a little and looked out the window to see the sun beginning to set,
"Silly stuff? I'm intrigued on what yer definition of silly stuff is lassie"
I hummed a little myself as I trotted over to my wardrobe to grab a more comfortable change of clothes out of my dress and pulled out a basic light blue nightgown and some fuzzy socks,
"Oh they were just going on and on about crushes and stuff like that"
I turned to Harry to see his furrowed brow and rather confused expression,
"Crushes? What's that?"
I lit up in a smile and took a sigh, finally I'm not the only one who doesn't know something everyone else does!
"Oh thank you! I'm glad I wasn't the only one who didn't know what that meant...."
Harry chuckled at that and leaned back in his bed, toying with his hook a little as he did,
"... it's sorta like... someone you like above a friend level, romantically you know? But the other person doesn't know you have a crush on them, it's this whole thing and I'm just relieved that I wasn't the only person who didn't know what a crush was"
