Elena POV
About a week has passed since I first visited the mysterious little island that still peeks at me from over the horizon, about a week since I first arrived here at Auradon, and less than a week since Mal and I began to become closer friends.
I've gotten closer with all the VKs, but Mal and I funny enough have become the closest. We simply get along now that Mal's started to open up, how ironic is that? I thought she was gonna be the one to give me the worst time but here we are! Cotillion is in four days I think? Maybe three, to be honest, my days are all jumbled together at this point. I've been sending letters to my mom and aunt this whole time which is how I feel like I've been keeping track of the days, I simply give the letter to Gale which flies them all the way to Arendelle in less than a night, I gotta love my spirit friends.
I've also been visiting the Isle almost every night. Every night the lure just gets stronger, pulling me in more and more it seems...
Now I'm simply walking to the dorm, having just finished up my last class for the day. I was walking through the front courtyard when I spotted a group of paparazzi circled around something. I furrowed my brow and decided to investigate for myself, I am a very curious person so of course, I gotta go see what the commotion is about! I walked over and sneaked around to catch a glance at a blonde head that I knew, Mal must be getting bothered by the paparazzi again. Apparently, this happens often, but this is the first time I've witnessed it. I made my way through the crowd of flashing cameras with gentle shoves and made it to Mal who looked at me with shocked eyes that seemed to calm down as soon as she saw me,
"Oh Elena"
She said with a little smile as I made it to her side. She whispered with a desperate tone and deer in headlight sort of eyes,
"Please get me out of here I think I'm about to have a nervous breakdown"
Oh dear, that's not good. I gave her a sympathetic look and frantically thought for a way to get her out of here with haste. I looked up and saw Ben who was frantically walking to another building, I looked back to Mal with an idea in mind,
"Be right back"
I ran through the crowd to catch Ben who was in an entirely different universe it seemed. He was muttering to himself, counting on his fingers things, and marching as if he was late to something. I ran nearly into him to get his attention, his eyes shot up to me as I grabbed his arm,
"Your girlfriend needs you, it's the paparazzi"
Ben looked up and sighed before jogging that way to help Mal out, clearing the crowd some to get to her and hopefully helping her out and all. I sighed as I looked off at the crowd, Evie trotted to my side out of nowhere and excitedly spoke,
"Elle! Where's Mal? You and she have your final fitting for your cotillion dresses today and I can't reschedule"
I giggled and motioned to the swarm of paparazzi who now Fairy Godmother began to break up. She's the headmistress here and one of my teachers, one of the funniest in my opinion so I couldn't help but giggle as she began to herd the paparazzi away from Mal and Ben,
"She's somewhere in there, Ben and FG are trying to get her away from the paparazzi but it's proving to be a little difficult it seems"
I spoke with a light giggle as the paparazzi were finally chased away by FG who actively shooed them away. Evie giggled and grabbed my hand and began walking that way,
"That girl can just not keep the paparazzi off her, they love her maybe a little too much"
Evie admitted. I giggled and jogged to catch up with her for a few steps,
