Venturing Off

Elena POV

The sun peeked through the open curtains in my room, waking me up yet in the best way I think possible. Today's the big day, I've decided so! We're gonna head up the North mountain to see if we can discover what's up in that amazing palace Harry and I saw the other day!

Speaking of Harry... hehe I woke up in quite the comfy position I will say! I was turned away from him for once and it's like he's giving me this lovely little hug from behind me! One of his legs is over both of mine and his arms are coiled comfortably around me, I could feel his soft breath on the back of my neck and everything! It was super comfortable I will say, normally I sleep facing him so this is new!

As I began to stir and attempt to wake up, of course seeing as Harry is the lightest sleeper on the planet he woke up eventually as well. I found out he was awake because as he was waking up I could feel the flutter of his eyelashes on the back of my neck as he was really cuddling me it seems, I'm super ticklish so of course at the slightest touch of the back of my neck I began to giggle a little bit and squirmed away from him just enough,

"Good mornin' ta ye too love"

Harry said with a little chuckle as he must've heard me, I turned my head back so I could look at his bright and rested self,

"Good morning! This sure is comfy"

I happily chirped, Harry chuckled and scooted even closer to me so I could feel his entire body right behind mine,

"Oh yeh, this really is just that eh?"

Harry said before snuggling up to me again and bringing his head up to rest on top of my head, I giggled a little bit and tilted my head back so I could look up at him,

"Did you sleep well sweetie?"

I asked, he smiled down at me and gave me a little heartwarming kiss on the forehead before answering,

"Very, and by the looks of those dazzling doe eyes of yers may I assume that ye slept well too?"

I giggled a little bit and happily nodded before jumping awake even more,

"We better get dressed and have breakfast! I wanna go up the North mountain today and if we have any chance of making it back home before the sun sets then we must head out as soon as possible!"

I slowly sat up and was just about to jump out of bed when I felt Harry's arms wrap around my waist again and promptly pull me back down with a little squeak,

"Goodness me love, slow down a wee bit I'm only just now gaining consciousness"

Harry said with a hearty chuckle as he kept his arms around me so I couldn't exactly sit up just yet, I sighed with a smile and squirmed a little bit so I could turn over and look at him,

"I just can't! I'm excited and stuff!"

I said with a little jump, Harry took a long sigh with a smile and pulled me right into his chest so I was a little more still, it did help me calm down a little bit but I can't help it if I wake up with the jitters! Harry brought his head down and burrowed his face in my hair a little bit which led me to look up at him again,

"And I love that ye are, but just take a moment ta wake up before we spring out of bed and dive right into the day. I love all the adventuring, but once we're done with this one... can I just have a day ta lay in bed and love on ya?"

Love on me? But doesn't he already do that? I tilted my head a little bit with curiosity,

"Love on me? Don't you already do that all the time?"
