Your Hand in Mine

"Doctor Hayes you are driving me wild" Meredith said in Italian. I reached for her hand. Meredith was hesitant but interlocked her fingers with mine. I was surprised she took my hand. "Doctor Grey, do you have plan's tomorrow night?" I said hesitant. She looked at me surprised "um I have work tomorrow but I get off at 7:50 why?" Meredith responded. "I was just wondering..." I said she looked even more confused now. " meet me at 8:15 in the attendings lounge tomorrow. Dress nice maybe a dress.." I smiled looking at her as I pulled up to a red light. "Wha- where are we going?" Meredith questioned me. "It's a surprise."
"Mmhmm" she responded.

We got to the car shop and I got my car. Meredith was walking to her car but I jumped in front of her and opened her door. "Here, I'll see you tomorrow at 8:15 dress nice no jeans!" I said. Meredith looked confused but like she couldn't wait to see what I had planned. "No jeans but a dress, got it! Thank you for getting my door Hayes." She responded. "I smiled looking in her eyes and stood there for a minute. I wanted to kiss her. I just wanted to put my hand on her check pull her close to me and kiss her, but I had to be respectful so I said "you're welcome. I'll see you tomorrow" and walked away looking back at her as I got in my car.

Meredith's POV

"Where the hell is he taking me?" I thought to myself as I drove off. "I have to call Cristina" I called her but she didn't pick up which means she was in surgery. I drove to Grey Sloan. I had the day off but I desperately need to tell someone what just happened. I walk in and see Maggie standing at the nurses station.

"Maggie! I need you to come with me now!" I say almost scaring her "uh okay is everything okay? What happened?" Maggie responded scared. "Maggie I took Hayes to pick up his car. Well okay so yesterday Hayes called me and asked me to come pick him and the boys up at the airport because his car broke down. I went to pick him up and when we got to the house he pulled me and hugged me we stood in the driveway for like 5 minutes just him holding me. It felt like nothing else was happening. This morning I asked him if he heard from the car place and if he need help getting his car and he said yes-" Maggie looked at Meredith. "Mer slow down you're talking so fast!" Uh omg. "I got to his house this morning he opened the door and welcomed me in the first thing I could smell was his cologne and oh my god Maggie I love it. We then got in the car and I asked what the hug was about he told me missed me. The he grabbed my hand. We held hands the whole way to the car shop!" Meredith said excited. "Oh my god Meredith you held his hand!?!?"
"Yes and then he told me and I quote "I think you're really pretty, you know that grey?" So I said "oh really?" And he was like "yeah you're smile is really pretty and I could look in your eyes all day" or something like that." Maggie looked at me and "oooooo" like she was in middle school. "Maggie listen to this!" I said ignoring the ooo "oh my god there's more??" I smiled and sat down on the couch. "He goes doctor grey do you have plans tomorrow night? I said I have work but get out at 7:50 he looks me in the eye and goes 'meet me in the attendings lounge at 8:15 wear something nice no jeans maybe a dress' so apparently I have a date tomorrow" Maggie was so happy she was practically jumping up and down.

"A date with who?" Called a voice behind us, I turn around and see Andrew standing by the coffee. "Shit" I think to myself. "Hello doctor Deluca, my personal life is none of your business." I responded as I stood up to walk out of the room. "Meredith why are you treating me like we never loved each other. I love you and I miss you, please!" Andrew pled me. "No Andrew, I was very clear when I told you I'm done. Stop talking to me about my personal life. We are done. I don't love you and I certainly do not miss you." I said as I walked out of the room. As I walked out of the attendings lounge a smile grew on my face it was...

Oh no! Something tells me this isn't going to end well. What do you think Andrew is gonna do? Who does Meredith see when she walks out of the attendings lounge and where is Hayes taking Meredith??
This is a longer chapter let me know how you feel about it. If I have more time I will post another chapter today but if I don't it will definitely be out tomorrow.
